Ford has revealed the first pickup truck specially designed for police use. The Ford F-150 Police Responder is based on Ford's FX4 off-road truck.
The four-wheel-drive Police Responder pick-up is prepared to chase bad guys through deserts and forest trails. And with its 375-horsepower turbocharged V6 engine, "police-calibrated" brakes and upgraded front stabilizer bar, it's also pursuit-rated up to 100 miles an hour on the street.

Opening the stage I was pretty nervous but it went pretty good. There were fast tracks at the beginning and then we got into sandy off-piste. A lot of bumps, probably the roughest stage I’ve ever done. I thought they would have caught us a lot quicker but they didn’t come up to us until 100 kilometers in and then we followed Cyril and Loeb from there. We pushed as hard as we could and came away with a third so I feel really good about it. Tomorrow is rest day and the body needs it!

On the past two days, a lot of things happened in the Silk Way Rally and with the sixth stage contested, MINI John Cooper Works Rally pairing Bryce Menzies / Pete Mortensen (both USA) hold third position in the overall standings behind two Peugeots.
Yesterday, in the fifth stage, Menzies secured the very fine third place, thus also climbing up to third in the overall standings. “The opening sections were really fast and it also went pretty good in regards to the navigation,” said the US American. “Later, the navigation got more difficult but we were able to again gain time in the closing section.”

Andy McMillin 2017 Baja 500 winner! McMillin raced hard and consistent to secure the overall and +Trophy Trucks class victory, finishing in the No. 31 McMillin Ford F-150 in 10:03:04 hrs averaging 82.2km/h - 51.12 mp/h around the tough 827.20km / 513.76-mile race course.
Andy McMillin quote at the finish line: "The hardest part of this race was the distance and the different types of terrain. Getting over to the beach it was very mountainous and rocky. It was wide-open along the beach, then up over the mountains to Valle Trinidad. The deserts in San Felipe and the whoops are so gnarly. We had one flat tire in San Felipe when we took a line and punctured the right rear. Luckily we had a pit a couple of miles up and we nursed it in."

Robby Gordon during qualifying for the 2017 #Baja500. RG posted the 6th fastest time. o-Tone Robby Gordon:“I’m pretty happy with what we did there.
The passenger side GPS didn’t fire up and we got off line into the bushes pretty big so I can see how we could get beat. The most important thing is that the car is in good shape and we can let it rip from here. I’ve done a lot of pre-running over nine days and we’ve been around everything three times.
