Ahhh, summer. Great time for grilling outdoors. Tonight, zucchini, red peppers, Chinese eggplant and onions. Nutritious and easy. . .

This little clearing was lit by a hazy sun as I walked past one day, I'd walked past it hundreds of times and never even noticed it. This is why I walk in the same area over and over again, everything changes with the light, the time of day and the flora. As I made the image I thought it would be an good spot to pose in and at the time I thought a leaning towards the light pose would be ideal. More about the image on my blog: http://searchingthroughtime-jimread.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/hardly-there-first-in-series-of-nude-in.html
I came across, "The soul of the blasted pine" made in 1908 by Anne Brigman, she poses nude in a shattered tree trunk. The image was a milestone for me it's a striking self image made in the landscape of the Sierra Nevada. Eve...

Image number three in my 'Montage' series with Keira Lavelle. More about this image in my blog please use this link: http://searchingthroughtime-jimread.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/montage-with-keira-lavelle-image-no-3.html
This bridge is in Sheffield over a mostly disused railway line as you can see there isn't much room for any more graffiti. The footpath for that's what it is must have existed long before the railway came, it leads up through...

I ran across this app that I thought might be helpful. :-)
Commit app is available on the App Store. If you need helping staying the course with your Project 365, there's an app for that. Project 365, of course, is the commitment to take a photo a day for an entire year. It's a great way to grow as a photographer, as it forces you to shoot more frequently. Enter Commit. This app gives you the daily nudge to keep shooting and tracks your progress. Here's how it works. The app starts th...

"Everyman" a series of digital art montages, these were the images that I made when first teaching myself the techniques available to the artist in Photoshop. Lots more about it in my blog here: http://searchingthroughtime-jimread.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/image-number-one-from-my-everyman-series.html
In 1998 I came across the Montage Art of Catherine McIntyre made in Photoshop version 4. I was utterly and completely bowled over by the beauty, harmony, colour and sheer audacity of her images. I got in touch with her later ...

Y2Day161: Wrapping up the chase with food porn. Nothing is better on a rainy day than baked goods still warm from the oven. Today, it's apple walnut bunt cake brushed with Vanilla glaze. Yum...if only we have vanilla ice cream too.

21/50: Roasted Garlic

Tried my hand at these delicious bundles of goodness this evening. Cut the tops off the garlic heads and added some olive oil. Baked at 400 degrees for about 20 minutes. Shot this with my nifty fifty, of course.
