108/365 Always Fresh

"The garden of love is green without limit and yields many fruits other than sorrow or joy. Love is beyond either condition: without spring, without autumn, it is always fresh." Rumi

It's just an alley in DC that's between a few restaurants and holds some trash cans. I wish my cell had handled the light better. It really wasn't that bright

95/365 Blossoms in the Rain

So, I didn't make it to the Tidal Basin this time so I had my own blossom walk a la +Rebecca Budd, with umbrella in hand. A bit challenging but worth the effort. Thanks, Rebecca!

Oh!! Spectacular!  And serendipitous, considering that we are walking on separate sides of the continent - both with an umbrella in our hand.

I used Snapseed to create a little bit of a shallow depth of field. But I've learned that if you get the phone close enough to the subject you can blur the background. It's not as pretty as when I use the 100mm macro but it is interesting :-)

104/365 Never Lost a Passenger...

"I was the conductor of the Underground Railroad for eight years, and I can say what most conductors can't say; I never ran my train off the track and I never lost a passenger."

97/365: Spring Lights

Never noticed how our Japanese maple looks like it's decorated with tiny lights in the morning spring sun. Took me by surprise; it's been part of our garden for at least 6 years!

Thanks! It's crazy, right? Seeing objects and situations in a whole new light. No pun intended. :-)

I have to admit this is a new one for me. These guys are on New Orleans street corners with old fashioned typewriters composing poems for tips. This is Antoine.

I think +Rebecca Budd would be great at this, don't you? :-)
