Well this is slightly embarrassing - somehow or other I appear to have jumped from BEER 490 to BEER 492 in my posts - I only discovered this when I was putting the last 50 bottles in my cellar and realised I only had 49 - when you make a mistake you have to put your hand and the only saving grace is I have another special bottle to open to definitely count as 500 - watch this space later in the week

The kids have a trip in march we are looking at 3 days in central london what are the best 1001 beer bottle shops near the center of london.

My beer #115 of 1001.
Budweiser
Pale Lager at 5 % alcohol
Anheuser-Busch, St. Louis, USA

The beach bar had no great variety, so I have chosen the Budweiser.

A boreing international lager. A little bit sweet, a little bit of bread and a little bit of lemon. But the sunset was very nice.

CCC - langweiliges Bier

Well it had to be something special for BEER 500 - Xyauyu Riserva Teo Musso 2012 from Italy’s Birraficio Balladin - the most unusual and one of the most expensive beers I have ever bought - 14% alcohol that is beautiful to sip and savour and very much like a Madeira wine as the book describes - in a blind tasting I would never have picked this out as beer but the bible says it is !!! - all of my 500 are from the original book but yesterday by pure coincidence I picked up for a 50p donation to a charity bookshelf in the Pestle and Mortar Micro-pub in Hinckley I got the 300 beers book to supplement the original - my wife is overjoyed !! - my only decision now, as a collector, is what to do with the 500 bottles and cans that have accumulated in my cellar as proof of my achievement !!! - I would also like to thank all those other contributors to our small community as without your assistance I would never have found some of the companies/shops that I have sourced the beers from - my recent travels around Eastern Europe finally got me there and I have a number of potential trades from my recent posts if anyone can offer me beers I have not yet had and who need the ones I have recently had to further their own quest

My beer #114 of 1001.

My first beer on our trip to Florida.

I have had it on our trip to New England 20 years ago and I remember it was very good.

So this was the first beer I bought at Publix. But learnings: Our Hotel had no bottle opener on the rooms. Have to organize one today.

Beer 629 gambrinus premium bought from utopius hereklion. A bit better than all the bland lagers I have had so far on the holiday. A day trip on my own at knossos palace and 2 hours hunting beers. Found some good craft beers from the solo brewery. The 10% imperial ipa was especially nice but then I like strong beers most of the range seemed hoppy. Can I suggest we have a recommended section for the 3rd book if its ever made .

Sorry Dr Stokes no sign of mythos red and no one has heard of it. I was only hopeful as my brother was over at easter at his friends villa in the east of crete and was sure he was drinking it. Sometimes mythos has a red cap?
