Nine players are in red numbers at the RICOH Women's British Open after 36 holes. At -6, Mo Martin tops the leaderboard going into the weekend.
Only nine players ended the second round at the RICOH Women’s British Open in red numbers and United States’ Mo Martin is sitting on top.   Martin carded a pair of 69s at Royal Birkdale on Thursday and Friday and leads the field at six strokes under par going into the weekend.  Spain’s Beatriz Recari and South Korea’s […]

Dame Laura Davies has called for the USGA and the R&A to ban golf caddie assistance in lining up putts.
Given the very visible presence of caddies in the pro golf competitive scene, the Rules of Golf are remarkably silent on the duties of the caddie.  To be sure, there’s an intimate and complicated relationship between individual golfers and their caddies.  The extraordinarily public break-up between Tiger Woods and his long-time caddie, Stevie Williams, after […]

I don't see a problem with caddies assisting in preparing fo a putt. They are allowed to provide counsel on every other shot.

I've never been much of a fan of the counterbalance putters, but this one felt really good. I'm not sure what little tweak was made, but putter rolls it very well.

Do you organize a golf trip? Well, I have done so for the past 6 years and while we always had a great time, this year was by far the best. Why? because we moved to a Ryder Cup format. I would never have guessed that it would be so much fun, but everyone thought it was a total blast.

Eighteen-year old Charley Hull's ready for tee time at the Women's British Open and she's playing for the win!
The top seed at the RICOH Women’s British Open may be world ranked number 1 Stacy Lewis and her closest challenger and emerging rival may be world ranked number 6 Michelle Wie, but 18-year old Charley Hull‘s having none of it.  Hull, who claimed 2013 LET Rookie of the Year honors and is ranked 32nd in […]

Are we about to be treated to a new rivalry, one between Stacy Lewis & Michelle Wie, that is driving both players to new heights of athletic performance?
Rivalries are nothing new to the pro golf scene.   To the contrary, they’re the natural outcome of competitive golf where, as Cristie Kerr has observed in her Baltimore Sun blog, “week in and week out, professional golfers compete against other professional golfers, as individuals.”  We’ve been energized by Tiger vs. Phil, and Annika vs […]

ESPN3 to live-stream Tiger Woods' British Open rounds. REALLY???

Hmmmm...gotta question this one. Are we trying to watch GOLF or TABLOIDS? This can't be good for Tiger either. How about concentrating on the best players out there ESPN?!!!!

I like Tiger as much as the next guy. I see why ESPN would do this. I guarantees viewers in a time frame where they may not see it during the normal time slot. Increased viewers means increased add revenue.

As for whether or not anyone is as exciting as Tiger is going to be opinion. Today's game is diluted with good players, names that are just there but don't make a whole lot of noise.

As for the #open championship, It will be a grind it out to win tournament.

Stacy Lewis trails Japan's Ayako Uehara by 3 strokes going into the 2nd round at the RICOH Women's British Open. Only 9 players carded sub-par 1st rounds.
World ranked number one and RICOH Women’s British Open defending champion Stacy Lewis summed up the first round at the Royal Birkdale this way: “Anything under par is a good score.”  When all the cards were signed and all the players in the house, six had recorded sub-par rounds and Japan’s Ayako Uehara, who was […]

Prevent lower back injuries from keeping you off the course. Utilize these simply stretches prior to tee-off and you will find enhanced performance in your game as your body will be functioning at a more optimal level.

Re: British Open

Can Tiger play in the cold, windy weather of Hoylake without his back tightening up? Driving distance and accuracy along with stokes gained putting should give us a clue.
