Free app today (Dec 16)  called Stick Around.  The ToU allow students under 13 to use!  Students and teachers can make and share puzzles to reinforce vocabulary.  It seems pretty slick!  One must have the app to create and play puzzles through the app.  Get it while its hot!

One of the best #STEM  Apptivities I have stumbled upon on the internet that talks about   #thermalenergy. The teacher used a free Thermal Camera App for a #PBL  to measure the thermal energy of house models.  Students learned about concepts related to  #heatloss , #insulation

Thanks to a suggestion from Texas Council for Social Studies, I learned about a paper-based response system called Plickers.   Here is an overview video:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DfUB05xiIGM

This could be great for  classrooms with just shared iPads or when you just do not want to open up other response systems like Socrative.

Please let us know if you give it a try and how it worked for you!

Does anyone in LISD use Twitter in their elementary students?  I know of some  teachers who might like to make some connections.

What are some real world projects we could do on Native Americans in my Texas Social Studies class?

How can I help my students make more real world connections with the world geography concept of settlement patterns?
