Answering the disciple question concerning the event of His coming, and the coming destruction of Jerusalem and the temple, Jesus, in Matt. 24:15 and Mrk. 13:14, commended them to the little book of Daniel that they should "read and understand"
what was recorded to be understood for the passing of events and times as signs toward the nearing of His second coming. Just as the "acceptable year toward his first advent was on record to have been perceived with understanding amid Israel.
But as the "day and hour" of His First coming was not shown for revelation neither was "the date revealed" for His Second coming. Only the placement of the times revealed in the visions of Daniel. None could understand to count the numbered periods of time until the proper event had transpired as history. And so it was for the years of the "time of the end." No man, after the era of Messiah's Mission on earth could have knowledge before the revelation event described for sequence through Daniel had transpired as history. And as Paul had understanding of Daniel he knew that the event from which to begin the count of the "times of the gentiles" had not yet transpired because Rome was still the governing empire. And the Mystery of iniquity symbolized by the little horn of Daniel could not reign in its prophetic space until the fall of the fourth kingdom, Rome. Rome, after 476 AD, faded as Papal Supremacy grew to a governing power amid the nations. the power of Papal Supremacy is shown for sequence to last for the sum of "the time of the end."
This is but a briefing on my part of what I have discovered over many years of Bible Study concerning the events and time projected in the visions of Daniel. I find a solid correlation to the events and time in Revelation also.
In my studies of the events and times of Daniel I have not disregarded the opinions of the numerous doctors of theology and eschatology.
Now I am fully aware that this not the stuff of denominational doctrine. what I desire you should do is examine my statement of belief by Daniel and Revelation as you read them; but not simply as one reading to affirm your denominational teaching.
You see. that's how I used to read and develop my thoughts from all materials relative to the Bible.

Sound logic relative to scripture correlation will be greatly appreciated : The Book is the Word on God's own logic.
