Hi,
my name is Laura Vilardo, and I am a student of interaction and product design at the University of San Marino.
The reason I am writing you is that I am currently conducting a research project aimed at investigating the user experience of MOOC, to fulfill the requirements for my graduation.
To this aim I have prepared a brief online questionnaire that I am now kindly asking you to fill in. The survey is completely anonymous, and filling it in should not take you more than 5-10 minutes. In the survey I cover several topics, from the motivations for taking a MOOC to the issues faced in taking it.
By participating in this research, you will help me understand better this new and fascinating world, identify common issues and reasons for failures in completing courses. I strongly believe, in fact, that in order to be able to design better courses, nothing can be more valuable than learning from experiences of real users.
I hope you will be able to participate in the survey, and I thank you in advance for your kind support.
Please click on the following link to go to the questionnaire: http://goo.gl/forms/U6Z3QFMPI0
Kindest regards,
Laura

Hi.  I am a student in the MA, ISD program at UMBC (MD) and my current internship site has just asked me to "help them utilize PLNs within their organization" which brought me here.  Would love to meet/learn from you and am enjoying your final presentations.  Not sure where to begin and would be interested if anyone has tried this yet?  and how it went?

I finally had the chance to meet +Jennifer Rainey in person at the ACMP Chicagoland meeting last night! Possibly my very first online PLN-to-in-person connection made :-)

Here is a summary and link to my presentation. I invited the meeting participants to join us here to continue the discussion. Topic: Changing the way we develop change leadership.

Just a quick question: Has anybody in this community looked at the Lean Management (AKA. the Toyota Way) philosophy as a (possibly very powerful) tool for organizational learning? I've just begun looking at it (mostly through the work of Mike Rother at U. Michigan) and am very impressed at what they do and the empowerment it generates.

I would dare say this is a very systematic approach at what the organization does, and it redefines organizational change as "business as usual" in a way i've not seen in other theories. (I don't think that Mike Rother sees it in that light necessarily, though).

This is a nice video of John Kotter that provides some interesting context of how organizations are structured as they are today and how a step to the past can help change the future.

HI All, Please join us this coming Tuesday (1/21) with +Jane Hart  https://learn.extension.org/events/1305. She will lead a virtual conference session to be broadcast via Google+ and talk about her Top Tools for Learning in 2013!

This is a pre-cursor to the March #NEXC2014 conference we will be holding, where +Jane Hart +Harold Jarche +Dave Gray will be attending/speaking.  Also, those March 25th and 27th sessions will be broadcast - so you should be able to get to them from here http://muconf.missouri.edu/NeXC-NEDA2014/Keynotes.html  (or if you are near Sacramento, join us to attend the conference).

I hope some of you might consider joining in the conversation!

Since +Vanessa Vaile mentioned another course that may be of interest to this community, i'll share another that could be of interest to some of us: Deeper Learning MOOC.

It seems to be oriented more towards teachers and pedagogical applications than organizational learning per se. The G+ community is about to reach 700 participants, from all over the world, and consists mostly of teachers and such.

Hi everyone and - bit delayed - happy New Year !  Just published this new blog post I thought I would share in this community. Still reflecting on notions of fears in connected workplace and ESNs, this time related to power... thanks in advance for any feedback and other thoughts to discuss.
