This photo was taken on 35mm film with an SLR. The film was ruined before it got developed, so the roll sat around for years(like 4 or 6) without being developed because I was bumed.

That beef went on to be champion or best of show or something, a few years later this girl would go on to win a whole lot of other stuff too, pagentry n' things.

I know that no one is looking at the camera but given the story and the neatness factor, I think it results in a more interesting photograph now. The fact that everyone is paying attention to the beef is important and I think it makes the photo real!

Had I developed the film earlier I prolly would have thrown this image away at the time.

This was the girls dad giving her a pep talk before the show!

Also something else to throw in here, I remember that the cow had a small rump (for a show cow), they where so worried about it, anyway as a photographer I had asked if I could steped in and comed the hair on his rump in different directions to allow the light to manipulate the apperance that he had a bigger rump! Its was neat, everyone was thanking me and they couldn't believe how much that made a difference.
And no I didn't use a light meter!!!
