Uploading this to google was way to complicated for me. Thanks Barry for putting it here.

One of my favorite books to use is Contemporary's GED Exercise Book in Mathematics.  This book is full of problems similar to the ones on the GED test as well as practice tests.  I use this book for students who are almost ready to take the GED test.

I thought it would be beneficial to share a website that I use to help students with beginning algebra.  This is a basic equation generator, it creates new equations each time you create a page.  It is great for student practice and also gives you some control as to the type of problems that you want them to work on.  http://www.math.com/students/worksheet/algebra_sp.htm

I use the Top 50 Reading Skills book in my class because it helps me target the skills needed for the students to succeed.

The Jamestown Literature book introduces short stories, drama, and nonfiction to the students. It gives a variety of stories for the students to read and analyze along with building blocks for vocabulary.

A resource I like to use in my writing class is Basic English Brushup. It gives a good foundation for our students before they get into the GED level language questions. It has a lot of practice exercises and explains the material in detail.

This is an excellent site to use with my students that are trying to improve their writing COMPASS score.  It is very similar to the actual COMPASS Test itself.  The design is the same.  If they can do well with the various passages on this site, then they will do well on the COMPASS Test.
