There are two new blocks coming to the world of Dust 1947. This is very exciting as it will enhance the story line, and encourage new players to discover this amazing game.

Check out some of the pictures from this link to see a preview of what's coming:

I managed to get a Rosie model and as there was a break on my table I got some paint on her.
A quick job done on this Dust Tactics miniature but one I'm pretty happy with.

This is Master Sergeant Rosie. She is the one who reverse engineered the Axis Walkers to give the Allies a chance in the fight again. The model is one of the very early Dust releases and despite having better plastics than some of those miniatures has these really messed up proportions to it while trying to be a 'pin-up' look. The head is to small, the breasts are just comically large and high and the very low cut pants at the front don't seem to match up with the backside pants line and that is a very large weapon to be casually slung over the shoulder. And I always find a model flipping the bird to just be far to much cheese to be taken seriously.

Despite those flaws it was a fun model to paint. I grabbed some old Ork bitz to decorate the base with. They're oversized but you can just imagine they are tools to work on walkers with. Once I had the colours all nice I then got to get out the Nuln Oil and just smear it in places to represent oil over here (hence the dark patches on the face).

Klaus, an Axis air ace. I didn't like the model at first, especially as the sample paint scheme is a black flight suit. The figure just looked a bit prissy for someone in a battlefield with his happy striding. I found an Osprey reference with colours I liked so he worked a bit better. I also changed my basing to make it look more like he was walking on the edge of a runway. Happy enough with the end result (even if this is just another token for a model that should be in a jet).

Laser-Jadggrenadaire unit (I'd have to check the spelling on that one).

The last of my zombie models painted up. Another fun unit to paint, I think I'm going to take the purple and green flesh tones and use them for my Deadzone Plague.

I busted out the brush for some of the piles of Dust miniatures floating around the house. I'm hooked on painting them again, more to come.
