The CalPATH mortgage
is a new loan program for California's Teachers, Police, Firefighters, and Public Employees.
CalPATH was created as an alternative to the CalSTRS
home loan programs that were suspended due to budget cuts.

One of the features I like most about this new program is they DO NOT have to be first time home buyers
and it's also available to those who want to refinance
a CalSTRS, CalPERS, or any other type of loan they may have on an existing home. Works great to get rid of their FHA's PMI.
