M13 under a full moon

Here is my first picture of the Great globular Cluster in Hercule constellation taken last night (July, 2nd 2015)

The full moon was a bit disturbing and despite the polar alignment was not precisely made, I managed to get a result that I thought worst !

This image is composed of 20 frames of 15 seconds each at ISO 1600 taken with a Canon T3i.

The telescope used is a 200/800 reflector (without coma corrector ^^)

Anticrepuscular Rays over Brittany, France 30/06/2015

⇒ We all know the famous crepuscular rays which form in gaps between clouds at sunset. These usual rays seem to come from the Sun itself and go far away.

⇒ In contrast, anticrepuscular rays seem to converge at a point located opposite of the Sun, called antisolar point. However, this is just an illusion of perspective, because actually they are genuinely parallel !
These rays are not rare but hardly spottable since they are far less brighter than classical crepuscular rays.

⇒ In this picture, we notice blue straight lines corresponding to clouds 's shadows (clouds which are located far away behind the camera, on the right) and orange strips corresponding to light gates coming from the sun setting.

Went out to try to get a few shots after dinner.  Camera wasn't playing nice, but ended up with a few good shots. Always a good time, as I'm still learning.

Hi Earthsky! Here's a shot I snapped of last nights conjunction of Jupiter and Venus through thick haze and clouds over Jamestown, Rhode Island, USA. The weather has been tough these past couple nights making it difficult to shoot the conjunction. Minutes after shooting this, I lost view of the conjunction to clouds. -Scott

Hi Earthsky! Here's a shot I snapped of the Messier 15 globular cluster in Pegasus at Frosty Drew Observatory in Charlestown, Rhode Island, USA on June 25th. Cloudy skies last night, so no shot of conjunction. Though we had about 15 minutes of viewing in the telescope at Ladd Observatory in Providence. Maybe catch a shot tonight? -Scott

Well, I decided to take a baby step into the world of solar imaging. I recently purchase a Celestron C6-A SCT for medium range imaging and decided to make a solar filter for the front of the scope....
