Hi Earthsky! Here is a shot I snapped of Messier 20 - The Trifid Nebula yesterday morning at Frosty Drew Observatory in Charlestown, Rhode Island, USA. With the Summer Solstice closing in on us, we only get about 4-5 useful hours of darkness in New England to actually shoot the sky. I was just barely able to capture this shot before pre-dawn snuck in around 3:20 a.m. Happy Memorial Day!

What if in all that darkness there are really billions of islands of love.

This is 6 photos shot at 35mm and stitched together then cropped."

Hi Earthsky, Happy Memorial Day! Here is a shot I snapped early this morning of Saturn at opposition. I shot this at Frosty Drew Observatory in Charlestown, Rhode Island, USA. The skies have been stunning this weekend over New England and Saturn is looking amazing!
