'Content' is a vile word. From the article:

"‘Content’ is a word for people who don’t really care what’s produced as long as they can sell it, or put ads against it, or use it as part of their marketing strategy. I wince every time I catch myself using it. In too many cases, artists have been downgraded to the status of mere ‘content creators.’"

Say Hello  -

Hi all! Just stumbled across this group and would love to introduce myself! Hello, I'm Mili. I'm a #travel  YouTuber and just about 6 weeks ago, I decided to expand and start #blogging . It's been a fun ride so far, lots to learn. My blog is mainly to compliment my YouTube channel and so most of my content revolves around travel. However over time there will be blogs on other topics. I release blogs every Thursday 6pm NZST and I use the Wordpress platform.

I'm looking forward to 'meeting' you all and interacting and learning from you :).

If you're interested the link to my latest blog is: http://wp.me/p6ciZj-1z

Have a great weekend!
First and foremost, a big thanks to everyone who read my Air India blog and making it by far the most popular blog with 118 views (and counting). As promised here is another blog sharing my experie...

I have a quick question - My Blogs especially my The Phantom Paragrapher site have a higher Overseas Presence and I am more known outside of New Zealand than in NZ - How do you promote yourself within New Zealand ? How do you reach your New Zealand crowds rather than Overseas Audiences ?

Good question. I try not to think in terms of geography. At what (if any) NZ sites do you post comments or guest posts? Are you a member of any NZ communities in your niche, whether online or in person? Sometimes, old fashioned in-person networking works.

That's awesome to hear about your book review blog. :)

For the 2nd one, I suggest to wait about 3-6 months before you create a media kit. Different niche, content and audience. Since lifestyle is still broad, you'll eventually attract the right media for this blog once you've managed to write specific topics catered to their needs.

But, having said that, I've seen blogs that have exploded rather quickly gaining more readers - then a media kit makes sense. Just make sure what you offer makes sense based on the numbers. :)

Good luck and great stuff!
