To look out for: Most things that end in -ない, or a conjugation of that (ないis considered an adjective, so is conjugated just like every other adjective) are negative or bad.
ない alone (with the kanji 無い) means 'nothing' or 'is absent'. Without the kanji, it means 'not'.
Most things with the kanji 無 are bad.
