This is pretty sweet, wonder if they can make awesome combos by playing regular music?
We transformed two classical pianos into Playstation 2 controlers using analog piezo triggers, Raspberry Pi B+ and Arduinos with a specific Python3 firmware...

Here's a great article doing a study on a preexisting nav mesh generation tool. Nav meshes are great if you want navigational ai and path finding in your game levels.

http://critterai.org/projects/nmgen_study/
The NMGen Study is an adaptation in Java of Recast's static mesh functionality for purposes of study and experimentation. NMGen takes an arbitrary triangle mesh as input and generates data representing the traversable surface of the source mesh. This documentation provides a thorough overview of ...

Kerbal Space Program is awesome and if you haven't tried it yet, get it. It's for obvious reasons it defeated Eve Online and other major games at the game-debate awards. It has the most fun and addictive gameplay I've seen in a long time!

That is a pretty convincing victory for KSP: http://www.game-debate.com/awards/2013/best-sci-fi

Today I was wondering what you might use Transform Feedbacks in OpenGL for.

http://ogldev.atspace.co.uk/www/tutorial28/tutorial28.html

This is a really cool article that shows how you might use them to do particle systems. As I understand it you can also use the Transform Feedback to do view Frustum culling of hundreds of thousands of points.
Background. Particle System is a general name of a large number of techniques that simulate natural phenomena such as smoke, dust, fireworks, rain, etc. The common theme in all these phenomena is that they are composed of a large amount of small particles that move together in a way which is ...

Even if you don’t like Tarzan, you have to admit that the idea of swinging through the jungle on vines sounds pretty fun. Well, now there’s a game that seizes on that impulse, and it only requires 20 PlayStation Move controllers hung from the ceiling!

Interesting read - not really relevant so much for modern game development.

Jekejeke Prolog: Going Partial Opern Source

Dear All,

We are gradually open sourcing a lot of the infrastructure and common code of Jekejeke Prolog. The following modules have already been uploaded to the public:

Language:
The core language, 15 files
Frequent:
Frequent predicates, 37 files

Hope this helps in further development of the system. At least it is now possible to inspect a great deal of the source, and also learn a lot about how to use the API.

Enjoy!

I used to play Space Quest and King's Quest. I pretty much studied the walkthroughs more than my school homework and knew the games back to front. If you haven't heard or tried these games, I recommend you start with Space Quest IV or Kings Quest V, and then perhaps play them in order.
