A friend and I were feeling rather heavy these past few days. I assume it is the recently celebrated festivities and those yet to come. We were lucky enough to be selected as "Knowledge Cups". It helped us drain the weight and now we feel renewed.

It has been days since I last saw the beach from the high canopies of Mother Palm Tree. I fell off when I knew I was ready to experience the world. I fell a few inches from the shore and tell myself daily that this is where I was meant to be. From here, I can see the tides getting closer and closer to the shore until it strides past me. I finally feel refreshed. I do not regret letting go of the only thing that kept me close to Mother Palm Tree. I am thankful.

Life for a coconut is pretty fun. First, our mothers grow up to be more than 10 feet tall. They spread their arms outwards to create a comforting canopy above the heart of themselves. When time comes, we begin sprouting as one, but soon become clusters of 2 or more. We hang out until it's time to leave. Our connection with mother is broken and we land on the ground. That is when our lives as individuals begin. Mine is sitting here enjoying the view.
