Urban Wilderness is a council owned piece of land which has been loaned to the local residents for the next 10 years. We are turning it in to a little piece of green space and using it to benefit the whole community.
The idea behind the garden is to bring the community together, promote healthy living, organic food growing, community spirit and encouraging people to live in a more sustainable way. The project really began in the beginning of 2012, and it has come on in leaps and bounds. The garden is going to feature a Meadow and Sensory Garden, Picnic Area, Food Growing Area, and Childrens' Play area, and at the moment all of these things are ongoing developments as we build them up with the help of the local residents and community.
