The Windows 8.1 release is here! Microsoft switched on the servers which will distribute the update yesterday.  The update replaces the Start Button as well as other improvements to the User Interface such as Desktop Mode, which bypasses the Metro interface.

I have an Asus P67 MB with socket LGA 1366 and Intel i7 920 CPU... after replacing the power supply and GPU (two components that work normally) the MB does not recognize any USB devices ... pen drive, mouse, webcam .. . anything. I formatted and reinstalled my OS (Win Vista 64-bit) and it still doesn't recognise anything that fits into the USB port. If I insert a mouse because the power comes within its light comes on ... if I insert a USB stick anything. Already tried changing mouse and use mouse not recognized in other PCs. Another strange thing is this: with these symptoms I thought they did not work more USB ports, but if it should not happen two things that happen instead: 1) the power supply is for the mouse, and 2) the USB devices are correctly detected by the BIOS, and 3) before formatting I used a bootable program that allowed you to copy the contents of your external HD on pen drive without launching Windows. I've used it and I have successfully copied 80 GB of personal data via the same USB port that does not recognize anything started with Windows, just installed after formatting ... what the hell happened? Tips? Help!
