Exploring the new Google Expeditions iOS app. It is pretty cool and we have it working fine on our teacher iPads using other teacher iPads to test it out. But we are running into a snag when trying to use it with our student iPads which have different settings for security reasons and would appreciate any help anyone could offer:

Our student iPads go home with the students, so there is a proxy setting that is interfering with how Google Expeditions works on those iPads. (When we remove that setting it works fine, but we aren't really willing to adjust that setting for other reasons.)

Has anyone else worked through this and would be willing to visit with us about what you adjusted to make it work?

We are using JAMF Casper for our management suite.

Wondering about ideas for this scenario. Teacher would like students to read a text, annotate on it (circle, underline, write notes, answer questions about it and turn it in. We are using Haiku as our LMS. We use google docs frequently. Students have used IPEVO. Students have IPads.

Anyone have suggestions for making this a smooth operation?

We use GoodNotes. You can open a PDF on the app and annotate on it. Then we have students turn it in through Schoology.

For all that doubt the power of games to motivate, activate, and engage, comes Pokemon GO
There is an ebb and flow in the attitudes and buzz around gaming in education. This week, with the release of Pokemon Go, I saw, once again, the power of gaming in action. Pokemon Go was released. Pokemon Go is an augmented r...
