Transforming Worldviews with Science
Worldview Explorations is research-based experiential program for middle school, high-school, and college students. The 22 lessons in the Worldview Explorations program were developed in alignment with Common Core, 21st Century Skills, and Social Emotional Learning. The lessons include self-reflective practices and project-based group activities that can be integrated into existing classroom subject areas.

CEO's research to date suggests the most powerful step people can take toward achieving their highest potential is the willingness and ability to understand new perspectives. By making youth aware of the lenses through which they experience the world we prepare them to become compassionate and self-aware leaders of a global society.

Science as the reason for the ecological crisis of the present, and (w)holistic science as the way out
"Animate Earth"  is a documentary film written and presented by Dr Stephan Harding, renowned ecologist and colleague of James Lovelock.
Stephan puts forward a radical approach to the ecological crisis by arguing that many of the problems we now face stem from having lost our intuitive relationship with nature. Stephan believes that traditional mechanistic science has inadvertently fueled the crisis and that we urgently need to develop an expanded science that cultivates intuitive wisdom alongside rational knowledge so that we can experience everything, from the smallest microbes to our planet’s great life-sustaining cycles, as deeply interconnected.
Building on the revolutionary discoveries of James Lovelockʼs Gaia Theory, Stephan goes one step further and explores opportunities to heal our relationship with the Earth through the new discipline of holistic science.
The film features interviews with leading environmentalists, scientists and spiritual leaders, including Brian Goodwin, Iain McGilchrist, Fritjof Capra, Vandana Shiva, Jules Cashford and Satish Kumar.

The Limitations of Science and the Medical Paradigm

Science has lifted us from the ignorance of the Dark Ages into the understandings we hold today. It has increased our standards of living, lengthened our life spans, and enriched our lives in every way. Music, the arts, our governments, our social customs, our religious beliefs, our educational institutions, our recreations, our modes of travel, our means of communicating, our working, our eating, our sleeping—all aspects of our culture have been transformed by the touch of technology. It is little wonder, then, that we have become conditioned to look to science for the solutions of all our problems and for the answers to life’s questions.
But science, powerful as it is, is a false god. Awed by the spectacular material advancements science has brought us, we have come to expect more of science than it is capable of delivering. Many individuals, not recognizing the limitations of science, stand in expectation of results that will never come. Science does not have all the solutions. It does not have all the answers. It never has and it never will.
The purpose of this article is to clearly present science for what it is—no more and no less. Many answers can be obtained by the scientific method, but there are many more that cannot. It is not my intent to destroy your faith in science. As a lifetime professional scientist myself, I am duly respectful of its potential. I am also aware of its limitations. When it comes to consideration of life in its fullness, these limitations are very great. Therefore, while I don’t want to destroy your faith in science, I do want to disturb it and to encourage you to question its validity as an approach to living.
In order to clearly understand the limitations of science, one must first have a clear picture of what science is. Interestingly enough, there is a large fraction of scientists who do not have an accurate and complete picture of the boundaries of science. This might sound hard to believe, but it is true. It is entirely possible to practice science to a high level of success in obtaining useful, valid results, while at the same time never being fully aware of its limits.
In an analogous way, it is entirely possible, if not common, for doctors to practice medicine without being aware of its limits. In fact, it is not at all uncommon for people to confuse medicine with science. And neither is it unusual for doctors to confuse science with technology.

The practice of medicine, while it may be partially described as “applied technology,” is not a science.
While medicine bases some of its practices on scientifically derived data, the practice of medicine is not, itself, a science. Medicine is a discipline of opinion where accepted standards of practice are determined by a consensus of the majority, not by the scientific method.

The reason the limits of science are not widely recognized and understood lies in our educational systems, which train scientists and health care providers in how to exercise the methods of science and apply their results, but do not encourage a questioning of the fundamental assumptions behind the methods themselves. The purpose of medical training is unquestioning indoctrination, not cognitive education. It is to promote, protect, and apply the prevailing paradigm—not to question it.

More Evidence of Scientism as Religion
More than a half century ago, famed writer C.S. Lewis warned about how science (a good thing) could be twisted in order to attack religion, undermine ethics, and limit human freedom. In this documentary "The Magician's Twin: C.S. Lewis and the Case Against Scientism," leading scholars explore Lewis's prophetic warnings about the abuse of science and how Lewis's concerns are increasingly relevant for us today.

In the time we live now many people become aware of the negative effects of science, also pharmaceutical science, also the science that is related with the art of healing by diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of disease.  Because it is based on a not wholistic view on what life and human beings are.

Critical thinking is an essential element of science.

Some thoughts and information of what I experienced myself in that category: People who work in that field named pseudo science do mostly not have the right answers because of a lack of insight, do not have the right intention, do not want to be unmasked and therefore they do not allow you to criticize them. There are some who belong to the worst category: Quackery.

They are "holy", elusive, often working (trying to convince you) in the name of a higher power or energy and all is allowed what they 'hear' or 'see' as good, even to abuse you. Their 'spiritual guides', IF they have them, are of a low level, but mostly they work with their own ego and own created fantasies that others believe as true. They know how to convince you with misleading though beautiful sounding words. They create a web of being more and more dependent of them: they enslave you.

Even officially registered therapists or people who are leaders / creators of courses or workshops can be not trustworthy. That counts also however for general practitioners, psychotherapists, etc.. Keep your eyes open and be alert, listen to your intuition. Always. Dare to be critical, and where this is not allowed, or where your intuition is talking to you with alarm bells accept this as an utterly serious sign to leave before you are in the web, or under the control of a not reliable person.

Pseudoscience is related with the essence of religions, of belief systems.

However. Often not yet proved real  facts, knowledge, realities, phenomenons and insights are categorized as pseudoscience , because of a lack of the right technical devices on the moment and a lack of the right insight in life itself by those who examine it. Those facts, phenomenons, experiences and cosmic knowledge are not pseudoscience, but spiritual science, real science, but so much deeper than science: but only understandable only for those who have the higher intelligence for it. The most of the scientist do NOT have that higher intelligence.

To understand more about universal knowledge, spiritual science, or wholistic science it is important to read the books written by first of all Carl Gustav Jung,  then Rudolf Steiner, and finally to read the most important: the books written by the mediumistic writer Jozef Rulof.

Pseudoscience is a claim, belief, or practice which is presented as scientific, but does not adhere to a valid scientific method, lacks supporting evidence or plausibility, cannot be reliably tested, or otherwise lacks scientific status.

Pseudo Science is not the same as Wholistic Science.
Pseudo Science is based on a created reality of, and experiences that cannot be proved as trustworthy by those who see and hear and sense more than others. Often it is an about, a maybe.
There are people who have gifts that are not acknowledged yet, because they work with subtle energies, that are not possible to be registered by the devices science uses now. Edgar Cayce for instance.
Edgar Cayce March 18, 1877 – January 3, 1945) was an American psychic who allegedly possessed the ability to answer questions on subjects as varied as healing, reincarnation, wars, Atlantis and future events while in a trance.
The answers have been proved as true.

The world is filled with pseudo psychics. There is not any exam needed to be named psychic.
The fake ones are not harmless at all.

List of pseudo sciences and/or quackery (not complete yet)
~Fortune telling
~Magnetic healing
~Paranormal experiences
~Using the pendulum

Paul Offit has proposed four ways in which alternative medicine "becomes quackery":
" recommending against conventional therapies that are helpful."
" promoting potentially harmful therapies without adequate warning."
" draining patients' bank accounts,..."
" promoting magical thinking,..."

Identifying pseudoscience
A field, practice, or body of knowledge might reasonably be called pseudoscientific when it is presented as consistent with the norms of scientific research, but it demonstrably fails to meet these norms

As long the reality of life beyond death has not been acknowledged by science, and with that also reincarnation has been rejected, so, memories of earlier lives are not accepted as true, neither terms as "Past life regression" or "Spirits", "Out-of-body experience" or "Near Death Experiences", "Soul", "Chakras" and "Aura", mankind will have to wait till finally more precise devices are invented to see and hear even spirits, those who are already "dead" in the way scientists consider dead as dead. Till then these terms belong to "nonsense", to parapsychology, and parapsychology to pseudoscience. When that futuristic sensitive intelligent device is finally there we will also be able to filter the true clairvoyants from them who are faking.

About science, pseudo science and the Art of Healing

The New Age period has created a lot of pseudo science, that what is vague, not really scientifically researched or examined. In the way scientific research takes place now though, still, it is hardly possible to speak about a whole, complete, view on life, diseases, well being, and it is fair to conclude that science as it is acknowledged now is not reliable at all. It is dangerous and misleading.

Pseudo Science is not helping the real Alternative Medicine, Naturopathy, to be accepted as a true medicine, as a part of Wholistic Science. On the contrary, it is working against it, and creating a very healthy criticism toward itself.

Too many instable people, searching for an alternative help for their health and well being, get entangled in the web of those who are not helping them really, who work without any study or with not enough knowledge, who are therefore not constructive, not alternative at all, just vague, just floating around as souls who are from somewhere in the universe, to help the people on earth to find heaven.

From out of the wholistic view pseudo science and science as well should be examined and criticized again, and screened and filtered. To reject the nonsense, to keep what is true, and adding a worthy facet to the wholistic view, to wholistic science, to the true Art of Healing.

People must be informed about the danger of pseudo science, also for the misleading information about for instance the use of medicinal plants, as if everybody can just start with using it. Nature is NOT harmless.

Phytotherapy is working with the science of medicinal plants. Not with a vague information. Too many people use internet as a source of knowledge, but it is not enough. Phytotherapy is a study that cannot be googled. Phytotherapy is connected with years of study, exams and diplomas, real knowledge and expertise. Only then there is a safe guidance possible for people who want to start using medicinal herbs, only then it belongs to the Art of Healing.
