What is osteopathy?

Osteopathy is a manual therapy which belongs to the art of healing. Osteo is derived from the Greek word osteon, which means: bone. The spine is seen as the most important physical “tool” where all structures, organs, systems, are related with. The principle idea is based on a holistic view: all in the body is related with each other, which means that pain here can have a cause there, on a complete other spot. Body Language ~ Translating Pain
Click the photo to enlarge it.
The primary focus is to present emotional, unconscious messages that our body is communicating through our physical maladies. In general, the body is letting us know when we are off and on track all the time.

Our complicated lives distract us from these communications informing us when to get back on board. Clarity and transformation is possible when we tune in. The brief explanations are intuitive and have repeatedly been found to sustain. Of course, we can always add more info and there may be other explanations. A special thanks can be given to LOUISE HAY for providing this well respected work.

The Healing Process
Spirit, Nature, and our Bodies
Rudolf Steiner

Rudolf Steiner, a scientist by training, lectured and wrote, at different times on medical subjects and advised physicians on their work. Steiner's view of medicine was both unconventional and precise. Steiner could describe—based on his highly developed powers of observation and his spiritual research—processes of health and disease that escape conventional methods of medical observation.

In all his lectures to doctors and in his explanations of anthroposophic medicine, Steiner emphasized that his medical concepts are not intended to replace conventional Western medicine, but to extend it; diagnosis and healing methods are expanded to include our soul and spirit.

In these broadly ranging talks, Steiner introduces fundamental principles of anthroposophically extended medicine. Some of the most remarkable insights that anthroposophy brings to medicine are contained in this volume. For example, Steiner points out that the heart is not a pump and that its motion is a consequence, not the cause, of rhythmic movements in human beings.

Topics include:
Health problems, such as hay fever, migraine, sclerosis, cancer, tuberculosis, typhoid, and childhood diseases
The polarity between nerve and liver cells
The functions of the spleen and the gallbladder
The three basic processes of sensory-nervous system, rhythmic system, and metabolic-limb system
Regenerative and degenerative processes
The true nature of the nervous system
Plus many suggestions for the use of minerals, plants, and artistic therapies in healing.

This edition contains a new introduction, a chronology of Rudolf Steiner's life, and an index.

The Healing Process is a translation of Anthroposophische Menschenerkenntnis und Medizin (GA 319).

11 lectures, Aug. 28, 1923–Aug. 29, 1924 (CW 319)

“Rudolf Steiner’s model of a spiritualized medicine could hold the key for the next growth phase in Western medicine, if it is to survive, flourish, and become consistently and deeply therapeutic instead of merely palliative.” —Richard Leviton, author of Imagination of Pentecost: Rudolf Steiner & Contemporary Spirituality

UNDERSTANDING HEALING
Meditative Reflections on Deepening Medicine through Spiritual Science

Rudolf Steiner’s third great lecture course to physicians has a completely different character to his previous presentations. Delivered in response to a group of young doctors – who approached Steiner with the specific request for a course that would be ‘quite intimate’, but should not contain anything ‘…which appealed only to knowledge and the intellect’ – it offers unique, ground-breaking insights into the practice and art of healing.

Steiner speaks about the influence of cosmic and earthly forces – the periphery and centre – on the human being.
Proper understanding of these processes enables the physician to comprehend the actions of plants and minerals used in anthroposophic medicines, and thus to prescribe appropriate and individually specific remedies. Steiner paints a picture of the human being as a complex confluence of the forces of heredity, forces from the cosmos, and an individual’s unique spiritual nature. The physician has to understand these relationships in order to be able to help effectively when they are out of balance. Steiner stresses the importance of personal development for physicians, and offers plentiful instructions for a meditative practice intrinsic to their work.

Among a wealth of other topics, Steiner addresses inflammation and excessive growth; the nature of scarlet fever and measles; the importance of a child’s food and breast milk; the functions of the liver, heart, head and skeleton; the incarnation process; karma as a guide for the physician; morality as a force streaming in from the cosmos; the cosmic trinity of Saturn, Sun and Moon in the healthy and sick human being; and the involvement of the heart in thinking.

Included here are Rudolf Steiner’s answers to questions, and the first newsletter from the Medical Section, with a key meditation for physicians. This volume also features 18 full colour plates of Rudolf Steiner’s blackboard drawings, a comprehensive introduction, index and notes.

Edgar Cayce's message to the world about the healing power of nature
In a recent (2013) connection between A Dutch medium and Edgar Cayce, Edgar also says that man will revalue nature again; that man will find out that they cannot do without nature and its healing capabilities. We actually should all return to nature - it is our health resort. Our collective state of well being will force us to. Edgar Cayce stays with a group of nature doctors and spiritual surgeons in a realm which is not his home, it’s more like a working environment. He also has a private life over there and lives in a tranquil country house, surrounded by beautiful nature. Edgar wants to emphasize that he did not reincarnate, that right now he is residing in the higher realms. Let there be no confusion about this: too many people, according to Edgar, focus on the predictions he made [instead of focusing on his legacy regarding natural healing]. He says he has been able to pass through many messages regarding the medical field and natural healing, that remain useful. He also suggests that people would benefit from reading his books about natural healing more often.

Much of what Edgar Cayce wrote about pertained to health issues, which to this day, still has an impact on many thousands of people. Individuals continually find insight into their health issues through words written over 65 years ago by this medium. Health centers and followers of his teachings have spread from this country to numerous others. Edgar Cayce brought to the surface, in the Western world, such terms as "soul-mate", "Akashic record", "meditation", and "holism". He broadened the minds of millions of people during his lifetime and well beyond. He is indeed a spiritual pioneer.

Edgar Cayce On Spirituality, and its effect on our Health

The Edgar Cayce readings emphasize the spiritual nature of humankind. However, because of the demands of life we frequently overlook the truest part of ourselves, which is our connection to spirit. Although we possess physical bodies and mental attitudes, ultimately our deepest connection is to our spiritual source.

One of the most frequently mentioned concepts in the Edgar Cayce material is that Spirit is the Life, Mind is the Builder, and the Physical is the Result. In other words, spirit is the source of all life. The mind focuses that energy into creative (positive) or destructive (negative) avenues of expression. The impact of our choices will eventually find expression in the physical, affecting ourselves and our relationships with one another.

Because of the importance of working with spiritual principles in everyday life, in 1931 the Edgar Cayce readings began outlining a series of lessons on spiritual growth that are still being studied by individuals around the world from all walks of life and religious backgrounds. Today, the A.R.E. Spiritual Growth Activities/Search for God department stays in contact with hundreds of groups working with these lessons on personal spiritual growth.

In order to become more attuned to our spiritual source, for decades the Cayce readings emphasized the importance of meditation. Cayce believed that meditation was listening to God, while prayer was talking. The same year that the original Search for God program was started, Edgar Cayce began the Glad Helpers Healing Prayer Group, which is still active. Today, A.R.E. maintains an active Prayer Services department, offering individuals the opportunity to pray or to be prayed for.

Personal note: I do not prefer to use the word God, it is misused so often that the real meaning of what is meant by the word "God" got lost. For me that what Cayce means is the Natural Self, the super Natural, the inner connection with All Existance.

THE WORK THAT MADE EDGAR CAYCE FAMOUS
For nearly 43 years, this amazing psychic would enter a trance-like state, diagnose illnesses and prescribe treatments for people he had never even seen, let alone examined.

THE DOCTOR WHO STUDIED THE CAYCE TREATMENTS
In one of Cayce's reading the name of Dr. Harold Reilly came to him, and he began referring people to the Reilly Health Institute in Rockefeller Center. In his clinic, this famous physiotherapist personally treated over 1,000 patients Cayce sent to him, verifying the effectiveness of the Cayce therapies.

Now, based on his legacy of more than 9,500 medical readings, and Dr. Reilly's 45 years of empirical and scientific experience, here is a practical compendium of Edgar Cayce's natural, drug-free holistic approach to restoring and maintaining a healthy body, mind and spirit.
