Although I only saw two donkeys on this hike (only one shown in the video), I saw nineteen in this same area on a single hike about a month ago. The wildflowers are starting to bloom, but I left them out of this video since the song is a little on the somber side.

This is good for a few laughs...

Telescope Peak is the highest point in DVNP. I did the hike during the last week of June 2015. Even when it's over 110F on the valley floor, it's likely that the temperature at 11,000+ feet is going to be nice and cool!

Lots of rocks in the desert! Most of the shots that show up in this video are from Searles Valley which is slightly outside DVNP, but it's basically the same type of environment!

Also a couple clips are from Panamint Valley, the Sierra Nevadas, and a couple more from Johnson Canyon in DVNP.

Here's a quick video providing some highlights of this year's desert wildflower bloom in the northern Mojave along the western boundary of Death Valley.

Brittlebush Blooming Like Crazy - It's pretty much the height of the blooming season on the valley floors in and around Death Valley. Peak bloom for higher elevations will come sooner or later depending on how high an elevation we're talking about!

Although I prefer hiking, some people like to climb using ropes. To each his own!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you.
