Greetings Fellow Tech Coaches,

Hope all is going well as we near spring break! I wanted to connect with you to share that Travis Jiskra travjisk@hssd.k12.wi.us at Howard Suamico is willing to host the next Innovators meeting. I am sharing a Doodle to see what dates would work best for people. https://doodle.com/poll/xkw8vi5v2wdwcng9

I have included the Agenda for our meetings. https://docs.google.com/document/d/13CB8-KSKceYnM_F4znwHJ9cZxD8DSAyFcCwz4__kDqM/edit?usp=sharing
Please add your ideas to the agenda. If there isn't time during this meeting for all of the items, they will provide direction for future meetings. The meetings are most meaningful when they are guided by your interests and learning needs.

Please complete the Doodle to let us know the best date for everyone. Also share this with others in your building or others in the area that would benefit from this meeting. Let me know if you have questions.

Thanks

Ben

Every day should include digital learning, but how will you celebrate #DLDay on February 22, 2018?!? Join hundreds across the state and across the country to celebrate digital learning in education. Here is how to take part:

1. REGISTER YOUR LOCAL ACTIVITY AT THE NATIONAL DIGITAL LEARNING DAY SITE. Keep Wisconsin #1 in the nation! https://dpi.wi.gov/imt/digital-learning/day and http://www.digitallearningday.org

2. Help promote and spread the word via Twitter, Google+, newsletters, PLNs, and other connections to your K-12/library stakeholders about Digital Learning Day as a means of telling the great stories in your school or library. Use the hashtag #widld and #DLDday.

3. Share specific digital learning resources and tech tools and instructional strategies you use to help create student-centered, digitally inclusive learning environments.

4. Help promote our digital learning state partners (CESAs, WI Media Lab, public libraries, Wisconsin Digital Learning Collaborative, professional associations, WEMTA, WETL and more) through shout-outs of them and professional learning opportunities they are sponsoring.

5. Challenge your professional networks to create an activity for Digital Learning Day.

Appleton Area School District is looking for a Technology Coach. Interested candidates can see the posting on WECAN: https://wecan.education.wisc.edu/#/Vacancy/24951

Hey Tech Coaches, hoping the new year is starting off well. Looking to see if there is interest in hosting the next Tech Coaches meeting. GBAPS hosted in November and I realized I didn't post in here, so likely missed a number of people. Hoping we could get 2 meetings in this year to help us continue to learn and grow. Please let me know if you are interested in hosting the next NE regional tech coaches meeting. I can share the agenda and other information with you.

Are you an amazing educator looking to become even more amazing?  We thought so!

Are you looking to increase your awesome level during these tough winter months? Of course you are.

Do you wish you could spend some time collaborating with teachers from around the state? Who wouldn't.

We guarantee you that all of these things can be accomplished by simply attending Edcamp Fox Valley on Saturday, February 10th at Kimberly High School!

Holy smokes, this is a great opportunity for you! When you register, we can promise that you will have a productive day collaborating with other educators from around the state, you will have fun making new connections and have a chance to win cool prizes!

Is this event too good to be true? No, it’s real, so you should stop everything you are doing right now and register today!

Did I mention prizes?  Edcamp Fox Valley has great prizes this year, so seriously don’t wait!

Stop, drop and register right now. You do not want to be left out in the cold this February 10th

Hey Techies, I could use some brainstorming. I have a student that is visually impaired and needs all class content broadcasted on her Macbook. We currently use flat-screen televisions. The teacher annotates on a Chromebook Pro and casts it via chromecast to the television. I need a way to mirror what's happening on the television to the student's macbook. Initially, I was thinking Pear Deck, but Pear Deck doesn't allow for annotations. Thoughts?

If you could forward this email to your staff it would be greatly appreciated.
