I'm extremely late to these but better late than never!
Anyway, I have two pictures, the first one is from my quinceañera. Instead of spending money on a big party, I decided to ask for a trip, but my mom still wanted to keep tradition so i wore my quince dress around Magic Kingdom (I got a lot of "where's the groom?" questions). It was an unforgettable experience where I got to not only celebrate with my loved ones and three of my best friends, I got to revisit my childhood on an occasion that signified the beginning of my adulthood.
The second picture is from earlier this year when my high school dance team won first place at a regional level competition. We won Overall Grand Champions twice during our competition season. The reason I love the picture so much is because of the energy and excitement that it channels. This was taken at 11 pm after a 16 hour competition, we were DEAD, but that didn't matter, what mattered was that we were together and our hard work had payed off. The team was not only my escape from the outside world, it was my family, and I'm forever thankful for all the opportunities and experiences it has given me.

I basically love anything that's edible, but I guess I would say my favorite food is cachapas. It's a traditional Venezuelan dish that's usually served with queso de mano and pork. It's basically a corn pancake and though that may sound boring they're ridiculously delicious. Back home we used to have days where the whole family would get together and we would make the batter from scratch then grill them outside, which took literally the whole day so it was always exciting when they started coming in. We hardly ever eat them here which is why I think i love them so much, distance makes the heart grow fonder.

Anyone with a cat can probably relate to this picture. He knows that suitcases are synonymous with me leaving, so he's been kinda depressed this morning. I've got to lug so much stuff with me tomorrow because I'm leaving straight from orientation to fly to New York.
P.S.-would anyone happen to be going to the Edward Avila meet up on sunday?

I'm pretty late to this but it's all good, I hope.
I alternate between genres a lot but right now I'm in a poppy, upbeat mood (probably because it's summer time). One of my favorite songs to come out this year is actually a disco song.

I wanted a place that gave me endless opportunities to grow and branch out and that could only be provided by an institution that offered a lot of flexibility. I always knew I wanted to do something in the medical field, but I started shifting gears towards law when I joined the debate team my freshman year. Even though my mind has not changed completely, I wanted to be able to explore more and completely shift gears if I wanted to. I wanted to find myself professionally and I knew BU was the perfect place to do that. Aside from that I knew that the university was big on research which I needed as a pre-med. I also wanted to study in a city with a rich history, so BU was pretty much a no-brainer.

Like with TV shows, I didn't really listen to music much until recently. Now my interests and favorites change a lot, but I think this song sounds great so I thought I'd share it. Currently, my favorite music comes from groups like Green Day, Imagine Dragons, Twenty One Pilots, and Coldplay.
