Hi! I haven't been around for awhile, but since I'm starting an Android bootcamp tomorrow, I thought I'd share the resources here in case anyone is interested.

So I have been teaching a JavaScript course at work, I am planning on gathering all of the materials together sometime if people think it is valuable. In the mean time I thought I would pass on some of the messages I send to the group here.

A couple of things for this weekend, a few of you had expressed you will be around and well I can't suggest that it is the most fun. Spending your free time learning to code is likely the most productive thing you could do.

1. Make sure you sign up for codeivate.com to start tracking progress. You can install the codeivate package here http://codeivate.com/install

2. Sign up for www.codewars.com, as beginners. Whenever you get frustrated with bugs in your code, switch over to them and practice there for a while.

3. I use mathfights.com to warm up the brain before a long session.

4. For those of you that missed building the API this guide is pretty good at teaching you how to set up an AWS instance.

If you want to get introduced to the top of the pack look at Google Code Jam examples and TopCoder.

I will be online all weekend for questions on XChat remember you can get on by connecting to QuakeNet then joining the private room with this command "/join #goodjs javascr1pt"

Learn you a Haskell for great good,

Patrick

Hi...  I need help. I want to convert a 3gpp file to avi or mpg so I can rotate it. I found some freeware, but it's like trying to get a bill passed in congress. there's so much garbage attached to them it's ridiculous. Any help would be appreciated.

I have reviewed one book for them and they are fairly good books.
