SOMEONE ASKED ME RECENTLY ABOUT THIS STORY, & IT TOOK ME 4EVER & A DAY TO TRACK IT DOWN BUT HERE IT IS!
> I have copied and pasted the words that were posted from #KathyEtchingham who for those that do not know is/was 1 of Mr. Jimi's Girlfriend's during a good part of his time in #London where they met! This is a pretty touching set of words she has received from a gentleman from #INDIA ->>> Kathy Etchingham
This is a message to me written by a man from India sent via my website.
It shows how popular Jimi’s music is all over the world, not just Europe and North America.
Central and South America, Africa, India and East Asia have a lot of fans.
I grew up in a small village, in Bandra, Bombay India. It was here as a young boy, I heard Jimi Hendrix. I was so far away from the West and our culture was very different, but here he was, his sound floating in a small village on the other side of the world. We heard that sonic BOOM and everybody went, "Oh, my God." We did not know who this man was, but at that time, the sound was the man, and this man and the color of his sound traveled through the far corners of the world. Jimi Hendrix left us, but he triumphed over death by leaving behind a live sound that will never die. Jimi Hendrix will never be gone because the color of his sound will always paint hearts minds and souls with rainbows all over the world. And for that, I thank him. What a wonderful infinite gift this one man left behind for the whole world.
