This TV-show started last year, and is now finished with its second season. So far, my limited knowledge has seen only ONE obvious exaggeration: Blood Eagle. There are no documentation one was ever performed. There are no named persons in the oral stories that have been subjected to, or performed one.

The show treats it as the awful thing it is, yet also as something that wasn't too uncommon. Blood Eagle may have been performed several times during the viking era, we just don't know.

If I am mistaken, meaning my research is lacking, I love being corrected with evidence.

As is, this is a fairly good description of vikings it would seem, and the story (mostly) checks out historically so far as I can tell.

This is then both a research tool and entertainment for those interested in participating in our little game-making adventure.

Disregard the religious infighting implied in the title and look at the pictures and listen to the song. I found the ship where (hopefully) this video starts, to be particularly impressive. (Ship is at about 2:08 if it doesn't start there)
