Hi, Thomas. I really love your OpenDocument app, it's in my top 5 of apps I use on my Android smartphone (Motorola DROID RAZR HD).

I only have one problem. Recently, my phone was upgraded to Andorid KitKat (4.4.2). Now, when I try to resize the text in a document, it no longer reflows the text to fit on one screen horizontally - I now have to scroll right and left.

Thanks for the good app!

Thanks, I noticed the same thing already. We'll have to look into this...

Is there a way to display the header of the documents? I have my customers info in the header so when I want to see their phone number or address on the file I can't see it

Not right now, unfortunately.

I put things into dropbox and move them to open document where I edit them. As soon as I edit I hit save Any changes I made are deleted. Also I am using it on a galaxy tab 3. It says that the modified document has been saved in dropbox which is fine but it is not modified at all.

More options would be nice. Autosave, opening the app and start where you left on previous session. Changes made to a document saved/overwritten on the old version not being saved on a new location (although that last bit might be a fault on my part).

Any possibility that a Google Glass version of this will be available?

Well, lets say you are in a meeting with your client.  You have copious notes on exactly what you want to present to the client.  You use google glass to read your opendoc notes.  Or you are on the bus or subway and need to memorize or review something without getting out your briefcase and having 5 billion papers go flying.  That for me would be the point, also it is actually easier for me to see the letters through glass than reading typical size hard copy print.  :)

You say, one ca make a shortcut on the home screen which starts the app and loads a particular often-used file. I cannot find how to do that, how to make a link.

A few weeks if we were working on it... I don't know if there's any other apps that can do it.

Android

Hey, so I have a few very annoying problems with the Android app. Whenever I try to read an document in the viewer it had to load, telling me to wait since it could take minutes depending on my phone and connection. Not too bad. But when I read something, usually after scrolling three four times everything freezes. I have to restart the while process. Then, another even more annoying thing: when I lock my screen, because I'm at work, or even open up another app, so have this one in background, the doc is gone and I have to restart everything again. Find the file, open it, wait til it's transferred or whatever its doing, and then: Bam. Freezes or I get a text and everything is gone again. S3 mini, kitkat... Like this the app is not much of a use for me. Maybe an update would help those very drastic errors.

Thanks, we'll try to address such problems in the future.

Pressing the Back button while in edit mode leaves edit mode enabled but disables the edit mode toolbar, making it impossible to save your changes. The desirable functionality would probably be a popup asking if you'd like to save changes, abandon changes, or return to edit mode.

If you add a line break (carriage return) and save, the line following the line break is lost.

1.

German date cells like 20.4.2014 are show as integer numbers. I have loaded a working ods file.

How do I get ODR to save my changes back to Dropbox? I make a change, and it (apparently?) writes the file somewhere else on my SDCARD instead of uploading back to Dropbox. Weird.

That's not possible right now, but you can manually upload the modified document using the Dropbox app...

I have used OpenDocument Reader on my Android 4.2.1 Tablet for some months now; it works very well.
However, on my new Android 4.1.2 phone it will not open odf files directly from the File Manager (although I can open an odf file through  OpenDocument Reader). The message is 'Can't find an app to open this file.'

Why is that?

The file manager app has to specifically support our app. Try with this file manager for example: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=fm.clean

Hi I've recently downloaded this app and am having trouble editing documents. Small changes or additions seem to work but I can't get whole lines to delete, thanks

Very nice app. But I cannot figure out how to set Android so that it opens the app when I click on an odt file. Suggestions?

Thank you for this nice APP.
But in my Text the diacritical Charakters are shown only selectively.
So the "n" with a point above or under are missing.

Mono space Font?
First off, great work on the app.
Second, what about adding support for mono space fonts? For example I have an ODF doc in liberation mono font. However using your app it displays in something else, which makes it unreadable.
