Apparently Gerrard has touched the heart of people all over the world
Steven Gerrard has made an impact on a lot of people’s lives over the years. However, the people of North Korea probably don’t feel they have much of a relationship with the departing Liverpool captain. If Klopp wants the Liverpool job he should get it. Atleast he has proven himself as a winner! All Rodgers have proved is that he isnt good enough when it matters most (last years Chelsea match, two semifinals this year)

In the dying lights of the semi-final defeat at Wembley, the pressure on Rodgers has re-emerged, and rumours of new replacements are growing, with Jürgen Klopp and Rafa Benitez in the lead.

But now Christophe Galtier from Saint-Etienne has joined the pool. I agree that he has done some amazing work at Saint-Etienne, pulling them out of the lower mid-table and fighting for Champions League each year. But... That is kinda where Rodgers has Liverpool right now.

If we absolute have to discuss a replacement for Rodgers, before the season is over, I have a hard time believing that Christophe Galtier will be an improvement.

We will see, supposedly we have opened talks with Memphis Depay and Ciro Immobile. Memphis really excites me, Ciro...hope so. I'd love to see us go for Vietto but immobile can be good he just seems to have hit or miss seasons.

“We will build and grow from within, buy prudently and cleverly and never again waste resources on inflated transfer fees and unrealistic wages. We have no fear of spending and competing with the very best but we will not overpay for players. Most of all, we want to win. Our ambitions do not lie in cementing a mid-table place with expensive, short-term quick fixes that will only contribute for a couple of years.”

But isn't that the point?  Mistakes happen, injuries happen, balloons fly on the field...Even with all that, the idea that your limited by your total cost for your start XI means that Liverpool are where they should be.  Achieving more than that is the exception, not the rule.

Tomkins has some excellent insights and puts things in perspective.  It's just depressing that Liverpool are likely to be fighting for 4th spot year in and year out given the expenditures of the Big Three.

Even if Jurgen Klopp or Rafa come in and replace BR, w/o some serious cash being splashed by FSG, your fate is somewhat predetermined.

The talks about firing Rodgers and hire Klopp is never ending, and quite frankly I'm getting very tired of it. But this article addresses issues, both good and bad, in a very nice objective way.

I'm not gonna give my opinion on the "Rodgers vs. Klopp" just yet, because I think we have bigger issues to deal with at the moment.

most of the signings are terrible or have yet to proven themselves. Next window BR should get rid of all the fringe players and spend big on proven, quality players.
