Hello community,
my problem regards Debieez NAND recompile kernel.

Few days ago I flashed the debieez image with Livesuit on Cubieboard2, found at this link:
http://dl.cubieboard.org/software/a20-cubieboard/debian/debieez-v1.01/ and was able to use it successfully.

Now I'm trying to update u-boot and recompile the kernel using the exact same kernel source files as in the working image indicated above. The problem is that using the procedures indicated below, I cannot make it to work.

I've tryed various approaches, like:
1) using the cubieboard2_defconfig file like .config
2) using the .config file extracted by the actual version of the running kernel

Both approaches use the following procedures:
a-
Code: [Select]
make uImage CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-gnueabihf- -j2 ARCH=arm
make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-gnueabihf- -j2 INSTALL_MOD_PATH=output modules
make ARCH=arm CROSS_COMPILE=arm-linux-gnueabihf- -j2 INSTALL_MOD_PATH=output modules_install

b-
copy the forlders output/lib/modules and output/lib/firmware in /dev/nandb/lib partitions
and update the uImage file in /dev/nanda

In the mode exposed at point 1) the system won't start, giving many errors of loading modules; same happens when executing the command depmod.
With the mode exposed at point 2) my QT Application hangs. However, by pressing ctrt+\ keys (I found out this key combination by luck) for skipping the kernel loading block, the application starts correctly, but I don't have any prompt access via serial or have any correct ip assigned to access the board via ssh.

When downloading the kernel source files, I made sure to use the same kernel version as in the debieez-v1.01 that is ru same and the config file is extracted by the original running kernel.
I don't understand the problem: Can you help me please

Here is my log of /var/log/dmesg file:

Eltechs launched new version of ExaGear Desktop - software that allow to run x86 apps on ARM.
The main change is support all models of Raspberry Pi devices and support a couple of new guest images including Ubuntu 14.04, Debian and Raspbian.
With new performance improvements, the software is 5 to 10 percent faster, or about five times faster than QEMU. In addition, the new version now enables guest applications to use the host’s PulseAudio sound server.
New version under launch 33%-50% discount now.

hello community have a cubieboard 2 and I have a problem with YouTube and Netflix when I use Android, both do not work correctly, someone help me?

Hi community,
Does anybody happen to have a compiled list of nand images for the Cubietruck that has VGA as default with wifi enabled including full internet access please? Thanks if there is one. I'm currently favouring Lubuntu (vga img) and Cubieez.

Hi community,

For a while now I have been using Igor's Debian (http://www.igorpecovnik.com/2013/12/24/cubietruck-debian-wheezy-sd-card-image/) for Cubietruck and it seems to work really well.

Only thing I am finding a little confusing is that it is always very low on memory when I do the free command.

only 10Mb memory free. When I first boot, the system has a lot of free memory, even after starting XFCE4. I don't run much inside of XFCE, only a terminal and kvirc really. So I thought perhaps kvirc had a memory leak, but I left the system running with no kvirc going and still see it run out of memory.

I also run:

vsftp, minidlna, mySQL, sshd, x11vnc and perhaps some others I have forgotten, but those are the main daemons I am using all the time.

Has anyone else got output from 'free' like mine?

Recently (last month or so) kvirc has started consistently crashing on a semi-daily basis, I have no idea of what triggers the crash, it just seg faults so I am guessing running out of memory?

I also have made a swap file as per Debian instructions but the swap is never used. Is this normal?

Hi to everyone! I have a CB3 with Android 1.02 but the resolution is too low, I would need to have a fullhd resolution in order to see 1080p movies.

Could anyone help me? I have installed this img --> http://dl.cubieboard.org/software/test/android_cubietruck_1080P.img.tar.gz

but it isn't compatible with BSPLAYER and I don't know why.

Thanks in advance!!
