I forgot. No. I couldn't forget. But I don't remember. I forgot. What did I forget? I can not remember what I've forgoten! It was so important. It could save.... I forgot. What did I forget? Did I forget to remember? Or did I remeber to forget?!
I remembered.
You killed my daughter.

Mondays are like the Armpits of life. They smell and you can't rid of them. Ever. I hated mondays they day my story started, and I hate them now too.

It was Monday, and the rain was coming down hard. I was hoping for no school, but no avail. I trugged slowly up the steps to the hour front doors with a croud of other wary students. Smartly dressed teachers ushered us inside. After unpacking and going to my first period class, gym, I went into the locker room, chocked, and turned around, gagging. The room reaked of perfumes and body oder. I held my breath and quickly walked to the back of the room, my eyes stinging. The perfumes in the air were so thick, it was like walking through fog. I changed into the short navy blue gym shorts and white t-shirt, our school colors. Then, with all the other perfume drenched girls, made my way to the gymnasium. My teacher, Mr.Burkle (Lol. My not copying anybody.... +Mikayla Lynch) had us sit alphabeticaly it rows. His bulgy eyes lingered on me a moment to long while he was taking role. My friend Justin nudged me.
"Mr. B was just totally looking at you in a weird way." He grinned. "What if he LIKES you?" I punched his arm. "Cut it out!" Justin was of Spanish descent, with caramel skin and dark, wavy brown hair. His eyes were hazel, sometimes looking blue, green, grey, or brown, depending on the light, or what he was wearing.
"Hey, Amy, are you busy this Monday? The knew Superman movie is out (couldn't come up with a better movie... I feel so lame) wanna come see it with me? Me and justin go to the movies a lot. We're both total nerds. I rubbed my still stinging eyes filled with the perfumes that filled the air, slightly masked the odor of sweat and tweens. I nodded as turned to face him behind me. "Sure. I wanted to see Superman 5. It looked really good." I stopped, feeling eyes rest upon me. Then my voice was called in a harsh deep voice. It was Mr. Burkle. (I see what you did there.. >_< What if Rhidi reads this?!?!) "Amy, turn around so I can see you- I mean all your faces." He put on one of his smiles that was fake.
Justin and I always joked around that there was a secret organization of all the horrid teachers there.. Mr. Burkle was one of them. So was a world studies teacher, Mr. Steven.. And a few others...

Just as mr. Burkle was about to walk me outside the gym, the fire alarm went on. Beep beep beep. He stopped. and smiled. I was walking back to justin when a voice came over the intercom system.
"Everyone. You are all being taken hostage. It is for the best. (lol) We ask you not to panic. All children between 11 and 13 please come to the cafiteria. There you will be seperated in to boy, girl. Then by race." I stared at justin in shock, not comprehending the situation. He grabbed my hand and ran towards he exit at the back of the gym. When we were about two feet away, i felt a hand on my arm, and heard a high pitched voice say

My heart dropped as he spun me around to see my world studies teacher, Mr. Steven (Still not copying anyone. x3), with his crooked from of his own stained into his face. I tried to squirm out of his grip but it wouldn't budge. So I did what one of my old friends Alyakim had said, bite it if it moves. So I sank my teeth into his hand and felt blood good my mouth. He let me go and I ran. Fast. Out if the school and with Justin. We were far away from the school, near a stream when we both heard another person. No. People. I looked to him with fear as my science walked up.

Your turn miki-wa!  +Mikayla Lynch

It was a dark July night, roughly 300 years ago, in a place far from where you are, when a young girl Lilly snuck across the creaking floor of the kitchen. Her parents snored soundly while she filled her knitted pack with two loaves of rye bread, three small wheels of cheese, a canteen of water, dried beef, fish, and salted pork. She then took three apples and a couple sticks of celery that were stuffed into her multiple pockets of her worn trench coat. She slung her bag of clothes, a dress, shirt, and a pair of her brothers overalls over her back along with her pack that contained the food and her favorite blanket and pillow, and quietly stepped outside. The oil lamp she put out every night in the window was burning. She could barely see through the heavy rain. She stared at the top floor, where her parents and younger brother were, before turning away and creeping slowing into the shadows of the cloudy dawn. No one, not even the birds heard her swear four words that shouldn't have been said than, or ever again be spoken again, for they shall reek havoc in their wake. The terrible but thrilling words were: 'I WILL find him.' Lilly stepped slowly across the grass of their front lawn onto the street. Her neighbors houses loomed above her, and their beating hearts seemed to travel to her own. Making sure not to drop anything from her pack, her dirt caked moccasins carried dew from the grass. All Lilly knew, it was either very very late or very very early, but she knew she would keep walking until she was far away from her horrible, caged, life with her abusive foster family.

The night sky slowly stopped spitting out water and she could almost see the moon but the dim lights from the oil street lights kept her from loosing her way. She looked back over her shoulder to make sure no one was there. She looked back and saw a shadow in front of her. Too far away to make out a face or gender but close enough to know it was a human. She desperately wanted to scream. But if she did that would wake the others in the houses. Even her parents. She turned around and ran the other way into the woods. When she was stopped by by three big men a small yelp escaped her. One large man in the middle was thickly muscled and the other two were only slightly smaller. Lightning struck behind her and she could see their faces. One had tattoos covering his brown skin, the second ,in the middle, had piercings all over his illuminated face.

She was trapped. . .

Chapter 1

It was high noon by the time Lilly struggled back to reality. She opened her pale eyes, one blue and one a startling shade of lavender. Her long sandy blonde hair stuck to her flushed face, sticky with sweat. She was laying on a beautiful mahogany four post canopy bed. When she sat up and stripped off the silky sheet she was laying under, she realized the clothes she was wearing were not her own. She stared at the fine purple cloth in wonder, taking in all the details; the buttons made of a shimmering silver, and the lace trimmed hem. There was a slight knock at the large black door. (With no handle on her side, may I add.) The door open to reveal a handsome young (ish) man, maybe in his late twenties, dressed in shining silver robes. " Greetings darling. My name is Geran the first, king of Oathrenpia, and," he smiled in a sinister way," your future husband."

Chapter 2

Lilly stared at the man. "I'm dreaming," "No, my gorgeous Alistanai of Desinius. Oh, let me correct myself. Alistanai of Oathrenpia." Lilly nodded. "Uh- okay." Geran left the room. In came a girl Lilly's age in maid clothes. "Hello Lady Alistanai!" The maid said cheerfully. "My name is Constantine, your maid." "Hello, Constantine," Lilly said. Constantine gave Lilly a full ball gown to wear. The dress was covered in a pattern of teal background and red roses. The front was golden, and the matching shoes and crown were inlaid with precious red rubies. She got out of bed to start getting dressed when her maps stopped her, "Let me, my dear." She said in a soothing voice. Lilly was curious to know why she was being treated like this. She thought to her self, 'I'm not Alistanai, but if I get to be treated like this all this time.. Then I might not complain. But, I've GOT to find him!!!' She clenched her fists and the maid noticed and said, "Is something wrong, my dear?" She gestured to her hands. Lilly shook her head. The maid helped Lilly get dressed (even though she didn't need it). Next thing she knew, she was downstairs in a big hall with a golden table in the middle of it. There was food on it and at the other end of it was Geran. She very carefully sat down at the opposite side of the table, he called out to her," Alistanai, come here and sit with me!" She got up slowly and walked towards him. She sat down next to Geran and sat down. She started to eat. After breakfast she was lead out onto the balcony and was brought a fine pillow made of silk.

The pillow has a ring on it...

Chapter 3

My dear," Geran smiled, but his eyes lacked the friendly light," marry me." Lilly knew "no" wasn't really an answer. But she tried any way. " No. No, no, no, no, no, no, no! I am fourteen! And just barley!!!! My birthday was only last week!" She turned away from him but he grabbed her wrist. "My darling Alistanai-" "And why does everyone keep calling me Alistanai!? My name is Lilly!!!!" He reached up to grab her face and so she bit his hand, causing him to let go of her wrist. She spun on her heels and ran towards the door. She felt a sharp pain behind her eyes, and fell to the ground screaming. Geran sneered kneeling down so his face was right next to hers. "Now you will just be a good girl and take the ring now won't you?" She was in to deep an agony to answer, the pain now spreading throughout her body. "Just nod please." She did and tears streamed down her face. "Good girl!" He waved his hand and the pain subsided. Lilly ran back to the room and buried her face in the pillows. For Mark for everyone and I have to go home! She thought. I'm getting out of here! ~ Geran stated to hum a happy little tune. One of the men that helped to kidnapped Lilly walked in the room. He grunted to see all the good was gone. A dark skinned exotic sorceress walked in to the dinning hall and laughed at the big oaf. She, also a captive in the castle, and hated Geran. The only reason she stayed is because he said he threatened to destroy her village if she left. So she stayed, causing as much trouble as possible, when possible, trying to disadvantage him in the war as much as possible. She thought that this girl, Alistanai, would be a possible asset to her later on.

It was past midnight when Lilly awoke. She yawned and rubbed her eyes, than stared a the height window, her eyes thoughtful. Then she grinned. I promised I wouldn't use my gift unless I absolutely needed to, but this counts as an emergency, doesn't it? She reasoned with herself. Then she slipped off her the ball gown she had fallen asleep in, and put on a simple, white dress with a cream colored bow at the small of her back. She closed her eyes, concentrating, and oblivious to the sharp foot steps walking down the corridor to her room. The key jingled in the lock. The handle turned. Lilly concentrated. The door opened. " My gorgeous Alistanai, I th--" Geran broke off in shock as he saw Lilly exiting the window. The window on the ceiling a hundred feet above. On huge golden tipped wings. Lilly smiled widely. She was free! Extending the wings to her full length, she zoomed away from the palace and towards the mountains she saw in the distance. Hearing Geran's shocked cry, she sped up, to get as far from the maniac as she could. Lilly flew till the first rays of sun touched the darkness. Landing on a ledge on one of the mountains, she sheathed the giant wings and ran off, knowing Geran would be struggling to find her. It wasn't long, however, before a steel arrow whipped across the wood and slid next to the tree. "In order of Mai, Leader of the Lost Ones, step down."

Chapter 4

Geran smiled as he watched the lost ones take his precious Alistanai to there camp. He, of course was the ruler of everything and everyone in the land of Oathrenpia. The second Alistanai had flown out the window he began to make preparations. He had used his dark magic to put a spell on Alistanai's brain the second he laid eyes on her, naturally, so he could track her, punish her, and basically, control her. He hadn't realize what she was capable of though. He shrugged and shook his head. It didn't matter. She was caught now, even though she didn't know it. The lost ones, undead really, treated her like the princess she was, the queen she was going to be. He thought about the camp where she was and teleported there. She can't escape fate, he thought to himself.

~

Lilly was dressed in furs and multi-colored silks, her wings now capped with pure gold armor. She sipped a warm beverage brought to her by one of the undead servants. How enjoyable it was to be away form that stuffy castle! She smiled to herself. There is no way Geran can find me here. I flew for at least 10 miles. She blinked, trying not to fall asleep, but with no avail. She thought she saw Geran's outline as she drifted off to dream world but she dismissed the thought. There was no way. Lilly awoke to the smell of hot cakes and sweet fruit. She rubbed the sleep from her eyes, and smiled as Geran offered her a cup of cider. She practically drained the whole thing, before spluttering it out everywhere while franticly trying to fly away. The moment she open her wings, she realized that it had been a trap all along. The golden armor on her wings plus the weight of all the heavy furs kept her grounded. She screamed as Geran tried to grab her shoulder, spinning around and smacking him right across the face! Before she could run out, he grabbed her wrist and flipped her onto the dirt floor of the silken tent. The lost ones were nowhere to be found. "No!" She screamed, trying to wrench her arm free." You can't take me back! I won't marry you! Stop! You can't, you can't you can't, you can't! I--" Lilly broke off as she felt the throbbing in her head. It spread more quickly this time, and she was writhing on the cold ground in seconds. While she was struggling, it had began to snow outside, and the soft flakes were drifting in, turning the colorful, warm tent, whit and cold. Geran stared coldly down at her body, shaking with spasms, than put his heavy black boot down on her light golden tipped wings, holding them down. " I had no idea you had the smarts, or power, to escape darling Alistanai! Tear streamed down her face and Geran grinned as small hiccupping sods escaped her small, soft lips. " I hope you like your new living arrangements. I made then escape proof!" He chuckled then lifted his boot from her wings and the pain subsided, leaving her shivering on the floor. Her silks and furs were soaked with sweat and her teeth chattered. Little flakes of snow melted when they touched her face. Geran cradled her shaking body in his arms, then teleported back to the place, smiling.

Chapter 5

Geran was sitting in his room when the general burst through the doors, panting and blood stained from his battle as his heavy chainmail and armor clanged together with the shield on his back and sword by his side. Geran's head lifted at once with a scowl that slowly faded. "Oh. It's just you," he said in a voice of disgust, "What news do you have for me? Do her parents meet our agreements?" The man looked down at his feet for a moment then spoke, "No. But we are winning so far. They retreated back to their lines. The king's herald told me that half of their land is too much." "WHAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!" Geran said, " HALF OF THEIR LAND IS NOTHING COMPARED TO WHAT THEY WILL HAVE AFTERWARDS!!!" "But sir--" "No buts! I want half their land or the girl is mine to do WHATEVER I want with. And we know how much they love their little girl." Geran had a grin of a demon. Which made sense for that's what he was. A demon of Shadow's Depth. He over threw the king and queen of Oathrenpia. And when the neighboring realm, Flightsendaile, knew about it, declared war against him. But sadly they knew with the number of farmers they had to the ratio of warriors. They were poorly disadvantaged.

Natalia, the sorceress was in her chamber, in the west wing attic, watched all of this with her magic. She watched with the pain knowing that Geran might just win the war. She was going to disadvantage him to day. But in a big way. She was going to take away his magic and turn him into an animal. Natalia worked out the details with the only thing she had left from her village. Her book of transformations. She grinned wickedly and started to read and figure out. She had her favorite guard bring Alistanai to her. She told her what she was going to do and she needed a test subject. "It'll only be temporary!" she said to poor Alistanai, "NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! DEFFINITALLY NOT!!!!" But Natalia didn't listen she pinned to the ground with her least used spell, and after a few minutes it turned her into a snorting Pegasus. Natalia laughed when she saw Alistanai. Alistanai looked down at her hands, they were changing into hooves as the fingers closed into fists and her hands pulled forwards. Her wings elongated and turned purple and all she could do was watch in horror as her spine grew and her ribs cracked as first her bones turned to the horse form then the rest of her did and she grew into a five foot tall mass of snorts and fur and feathers. She glared at Natalia and Natalia stared back with a look of satisfaction. She put a rope around the Pegasus' neck and leapt onto it's broad back. She rode Alistanai down to the "King's" chamber until Alistanai whinnied and stopped. Natalia kicked her in her flank. Alistanai reared up as Natalia grabbed a spear and hopped on her again. They both rode off to do the same to Geran.

Geran was sitting with his head in his hand. When he saw Natalia enter the room, he stood up quickly and glared. "Leave, unless you have help to make me win this battle!" Natalia conjured a scroll. "A secret map of Flightsendaile, sir, It has safe places to rest and other information. Geran nodded and took the scroll. He began to unfurl it, but a purple smoke enveloped him, and he began a transformation into a... Was that a mouse?

Chapter 6

It was, in fact, a mouse. Geran scuried under his throne, and disapeered from sight, his scaly tail vanishing into black smoke. Natalia changed Lilly back into human again. Her wings shown brightly in the dark room. "Find Geran!" yelled Natalia. Geran, being a person of magic himself, was no longer under the throne, but in the new room he had built. It was pitch black, but Geran's cat like eyes peirced through it, watching, waiting for his prize and princess Alistania to stumble in, in that naive way she had. He herd her footsteps coming down the long corridor. Pitter patter, pitter patter, pitter patter. He smiled and stepped out of the path of light coming in from the hall. He heard her puffs of breath; the room was 20 degrees or less. He watched her carefully, her white silk night gown flouncing out behind her. Geran slammed the door shut, chuckling Lily starred at the dimly lit room that seemed to be closing in. She tried laughing to stop the paralyzing fear but it failed. She needed to get out and fast. But she knew that Geran locked the door behind him from the loud "CHOCK" that came from the door. She looked around with the small amount of light that was in the room. She wanted to take the torch that lit the dungeon like room from under his throne. She pulled with all her might, the mighty wings that she had hidden, furling out as if they were a pair of satin fabric pieces spun by the finest spinners. They flapped back and forth as the torch finally gave out. Thankfully the flame didn't go out. She walked forwards the dim flame flickered slowly as it swayed to and fro. She peered forwards her eyes squinted she filed back the feathered wings that protruded from her shoulder blades back neatly fitting in her torn gown. She walked slowly down the long hallway the shadows from burnt out torches. She swung the heavy iron torch at the shadows then noticed what they were. She lit them as she went along so she could see the shadow staggering towards her at a zombie- like pace. But the shadow looked well dressed and normal as it came into the now brightly lit hall. She pressed her slender body against the wall as the man's wretched stench filled her narrow but flared nostrils. She unfurled her wings outward to scare him off but his red piercing eyes stared at her as he rose up to a proper stance, his own leathery wings that looked like a dragon's or demon's set. They spread out as he let out a horrid shriek that curdled her blood and she bent over and covered her ears until the yowl ended. The man looked at her with a concerned face and said with soft and low voice that soothed her right into his arms, "Oh. I'm sorry I didn't mean to startle you. I though you were a witch or servant of Geran.." He shuddered at the sound of his name. "The name's Rowlf.." He turned around. "Come this way. I'll get you a nice warm drink and let you meet the other under cover members. Like, you know, the ones who fight for THE OTHER SIDE." "Of course" she answered. Rowlf smiled and continued walking, which, would be his death, but he did not yet know it. Because, if he HAD, he would have seen the fake Alistania grin in the most frightful way, the way an assasin looks when they have caught sight of their subject. The way a fox looks, before he ripps out the crows throat. How Geran looks, as he is locking Lilly into her new prison and watching as he sends off her magical double to be his new spy.

Chapter 7 "Oh dear" smiled Geran as he slamed the door behind his Alistani. " It looks like....." he smiled and his eyes caught the light," Check mate." He laughed and Lilly screamed in fright. Geran flicked his fingers and the lights blinked on. Lilly turned and ran for the nearest exit, which was a long corridor on the far side of the room. He smiled and waited until he heard the clang, then walked swiftly down the hallway. The hallway that he had magicaly made apeer to take his presioss Alistania to her new.... living quarters. ~ As Lilly ran she had just one thought; Mark. I have to do it for Mark. He said, he said he would meet me in my true home on the winter solictice. She wasn't paying attention to where she was headed and she banged into something. CLANG. The she turned around to see a large brass door bang down behind her. She turned around slowly in a circle. "No. NOOOO!" She yelled. "I CAN'T BE TRAPPED!!!!!!!" She fell to the floor sobbing. She looked up to see Geran opening the door with a click, then slipping the key into his pocket. He walked up to her. "Darling, this can change at any time you know. Just say the word." Lilly shivered they stood up, still crying. "I-i can't t-t-take this anymoooorrreee!!!!" She wailed, falling into Gerans arms. He looked down at her beautiful face, surprised. " P-please let me m-m-marry yoouuu!"she wailed throwing her arms around his waist. Geran was a horrible person and his heart had shrunk up into a black pit long ago, darkened with lust, pride, and sin. So when he lifted Alistania towards, and kissed her, it wasn't out of love, but out of greed. Then he set her down on the floor and said, "I must prepare for our wedding dear. I am sure you will be comfortabe here until tonight. See you then my darling Alistania." She nodded in a shy, scared way and whispered, "I trust you." Then watched carefully until he disapered before running to the corner to vomit and try to rid her lip of the taste of his. When this was finished, she twirled the key she had stolen from his pocket wile he kissed her, and slowly unlocked the door, and stepped quietly into the hall, before making her way oit of the fortress, and flying off towards the mountains, where, she hoped, she could find Mark, or someone that would help her find him.

Chapter 8

Lilly touched down on a rocky ledge on a high cliff. She had been flying for two days, only taking short breaks to drink from streams or eat berries from bushes she recognized not to be poisonous. Sheathing her wings, Lilly stepped towards the forest. She had on a overly nice dress, that was black and silver, patterned with roses. Her black boots and traveling cloak were the only useful things. As Lilly ventured deeper into the forest, she noticed... things. Like footprints, and bow and arrow markings in trees. When she stopped to examine one, a jet black arrow sped past her face and lodged itself into the tree. More arrows followed, and a rustling told Lilly that several people, young teenagers by the sound of their voices, had just entered the clearing. Lilly slowly turned. About a dozen teens, six girls and six boys, were standing twenty feet away from her, all of them with jet black bows drawn. They were wearing plain black leggings or trousers, tight black jackets, boots with a light tread, and a dark green sash across their chest. Each had a knife strapped to their breast pocket, waist, and they. Some of the males were equipped with swords or spears. A girl of about sixteen stepped forward. "Why do you come?"

Introduction

She fell to the ground as blood trickled from her face. The pain shot through her body when she hot the cold and wet pavement. The other boys laughed as she added two more names to her list. Her white shirt dirty and bloody. Her eye was swollen shut.
This is Chai Nakayama's story and how she got her list to where she had it. Fifty names of fifty people she would kill. And if she were to kill them, she'd need a team.
And all Chai thought: Kill.

OK, so, how's the introduction to my story, The List?

A Roman Villa

In Ancient Rome, the rich, patricians, lived in fancy villas with lots of servants and extravagant things. A roman villa was a large house used by a patrician family. It was very big and beautiful house with mosaic floors,
three different baths, many servants, not to mention slaves, and its own private courtyard. The Patritions would exercise in the courtyard before going through a series of baths. They would first bathe in cold water called the frigidarium, to clean off, then into a warm water, the tepidarium, before finally submerging in the caldarium; the hot bath. The series of baths were so that when you got to the hot it wouldn’t burn the Patricain’s body. THe baths were heated by furnaces underneath of them. The Villas had one other significant body of water, other then a private latrine. THe other pool of water was called the impluvium and collected rain water from the down-slating ceiling.  Some ruins suggest that the impluvium may have even had a fountain in it too! The courtyard may have also had a fountain in it. IT was a very peaceful place with statues, trees, and flowers. The courtyard was in the center of the villa and completely surrounded by the walls of the rich house. The patricians could exercise there or just sit there in the peaceful outside, free of the rush outside the villa. Some of the richer patricians had multiple courtyards, or stables, on their property. They also may have had dudgeons or small prisons underneath the villas to punish disobedient servants or slaves, or even people who couldn’t pay back a debt. Their servants heated the house, took care of the animals and sometimes tutor the children. Villas were extremely rich, but also provided many jobs for the poorer plebeians and a home for the Patricians.
