I knew I wanted to go to college in a big city because of the sheer number and variety of things there are to do in one. What especially attracted me to Boston was how it's both a big city and kind of a college town -- I like that we'll be able to meet and hang out with students from Harvard, Berklee, MIT, etc. I also love its rich historical background. Another plus is how basically every musical/theatre/etc tour stops in Boston -- I already have tickets to a concert and a comedy show for when we start school in the fall, and I can't wait!

As a little girl, I loved watching Disney princess movies with my mom, but Mulan was the real game changer! Growing up in Mexico with the latino ideals of "women must stay at home and marry ASAP", watching Mulan changed everything for me. I believe Mulan was the first piece of media that awakened my feminist views, and since that movie I have grown up an independent lady :)

I was drawn to Boston by how beautifully green and put together the city was. I visited when I was a sophomore with my high school class and out of all the states they have taken us to, Boston was my favorite and potential future college home. I fell in love with the proximity to the water, the weather, the transportation, and how it looked like a lovely college town. I am excited to try all the food places at Boston next week!

This is my first post on here because I've been super busy with graduation but here's my favorite song right now! My favorite band is Beach House but I picked 'Real Love Baby' by Father John Misty for this challenge because it's a total summer jam.

I'm a vegan so I love trying new vegan recipes. My favorite blog is Minimalist Baker. One thing I loved before I gave up meat was pulled pork sandwiches, and I recently discovered that you can make a vegan version with jackfruit and it's amaaazing!

I'm super late to the game because I've been on vacation! My song rec is 'Back Pocket' by Vulfpeck because it's a universal jam.

I was attracted to Boston by the one of a kind culture here. I'm very into fashion and after a few trips here it's safe to say I can't wait to shop everywhere! In the art department, Boston takes the cake. The orchestras, concerts, and museums are absolutely breathtaking. And while I'm not a big baseball guy, you just can't ignore Fenway!

I was originally drawn to Boston because even though I already live in a city (Pittsburgh, PA), I was looking for a bigger city with even more attractions to see. Plus, I have family living right over in Newton (Boston suburb) so it’ll be nice to be able to visit them and get some home cooked meals. :) Overall, I just love the Boston area so much and I am SO excited to start exploring!

Just catching up a bit.. This is me in my most favorite spot of all, a park by my house where I spend so much of my time! I love being outdoors and just enjoying good company and good vibes. My insta is holly_reiland if you wanted to get to know me a bit more.
