So I watched this video. Thought I'd share and see what others think about this connection (not the people in the video.)

I know about the screens in Alien and Blade Runner. Prometheus dropped some subtle hints in it's blue ray release. I was surprised when in the extras they were given a form of the voight kampff test. (sounds German dosn't it?) I have not seen The Man in the High Castle, but from what I read about the series on Amazon is that the show is based loosely on the novel by Philip K. Dick and has Ridley Scott's involvement.

Let me say that I don't believe that this was planned from the beginning, With the success of the Marvel franchise though could there be another extended universe starting to form? Blade Runner 2 and also Alien Covenant which is the Prometheus sequel are both to come out in 2017.

“The court is not an expert in economics; however, it is very clear, even to someone with limited knowledge in the area, the Bitcoin has a long way to go before it the equivalent of money.”

This entire statement alone summed up the article...

Scientists have predicted that unless radical improvements are made in the way we design computers, by 2040, computer chips will need more electricity than what our global energy production can deliver.

+Ramin Honary You are missing the point in order to straw man.

The thing is, Moores law is and has been constrained by limits. The idea that computers will be consuming all the world's energy by 2040 is absurd because the current trend for computers is increased efficiency instead of blindly doubling transistor capacity every 24 months. No company would sell a computer that consumes more energy than is available, that's not how industry works. This article acts as if the industry is a blind machine and makes silly projections.

I believe these arms were designed by DARPA. There's a long history of civilian tech coming from military programs. The same could be said for NASA even though it is technically not military. No matter who is paying for the design of tech, there will always be people to misuse it to harm others. Long term, it would be great to advance tech to the point where destruction is disincentivized.

Uh . . . Is this even feasible?
I want to remind people of Donald Trump's words and what it means in the larger context of what is at stake in this election. This is from December of last year: We're losing a lot of people because of the Internet and we have to do something. We...

You don't see the irony in your argument? Presidents don't make law, they enforce them. Neither Trump nor Obama have the ability to make such a rule. How is the idea different for one from the other?

#ComicCon always tends to be good to fans in terms of getting to see new stuff. There is a small vid of some bot props/designs from the upcoming #GhostInTheShell movie. (Not sure who picked out the audio track, but it's a doozy)

#China
(Tech Xplore)—Suddenly a prediction made back in April carries special resonance. Zen Soo, technology reporter at the South China Morning Post, was referring to a Microsoft executive saying China will lead the world in producing artificially intelligent hardware as the tech industry continues to find breakthroughs in this field.

Without the protection annoyance of those pesky EU laws, the Brits are apparently fast forwarding private entities and their surveillance delivery drones. Look forward to faster delivery of your kit, mates!
Amazon.com (AMZN) stock is higher in pre-market trading Tuesday as the e-commerce giant announced a drone delivery partnership with the U.K. government.

Looks like we can stop digging for info on the new #BladeRunner flick. Seems the first rule of Blade Runner 2 is that no one talks about Blade Runner two. At least we know this is a sequel and not a reboot, which is good. Harrison Ford is in it, so there is that. It does seem that there is a general feeling that they can't afford to screw this up, given the cultural standing of the first movie, so here's hoping.
Ryan Gosling just revealed “Blade Runner 2” biggest secret to date — that the cast sworn not to divule anything about the movie! Advertisement The star Ryan Gosling has sworn to hold secret all news about his recent movie. Eva Mendes’ partner revealed that the cast of the movie cannot divulge any detail about the …

And that's the problem. There are some like yourself who will just shell out the cash because of the name. They want it desperately to be good that they'll look over all the obvious problems.

Keep hope alive for that sequel. This is Sony after all. Third film is supposed to have Gozar.

Blade Runner 2. If the trailer looks like crap I won't see it, but I doubt it as it seems to be in good hands. I don't fall for the BS "You can't judge a film by it's trailer." Really? If you can't get a 2 minute trailer right I'm supposed to expect you got a 2 hour movie right? Yeah... That makes sense.

I am interested to see if they are going to tie it in with Prometheus. Especially with the hints dropped in that film.
