KLM Royal Dutch Airlines will start scheduled services to Fukuoka, Japan on 3 April 2013. KLM is the first airline to offer direct flights between Fukuoka and Europe.
Fukuoka is the economic centre of the Kyushu region, located in the south-west of Japan. Fukuoka is home to many interesting shrines and museums, but it is perhaps best known for its yatai street food stalls. There are over 150 yatai scattered across Fukuoka serving the likes of yakitori chicken, oden hot pots and tonkotsu ramen, making Fukuoka Japan’s street food capital.
