The Evaluation of Feed-in Tariff Models for #Photovoltaic System in #Thailand #SolarEnergy #SolarRooftop

Thailand is targeted to reach 6,000 MW of total installed PV capacity by 2036. Feed-in tariff (FIT) was one of the most successful PV mechanisms of Thailand for promoting PV generated electricity. The evaluation of the FIT models for PV in Thailand which was designed 3 models such as premium price FIT model (Adder) in the first FIT policy to motivate attention on investment in PV power plant. After that used fixed price FIT model for PV ground-mounted and front-end loaded FIT model for solar rooftop. In addition to, Thailand has project-specific tariff design which FIT rates are differentiated tariff payment levels by technology, capacity size, and quality of the resource. As result of FIT policies, the PV installation is 1,287 MW of cumulative capacity in 2014. Furthermore, the financial evaluation of FIT for PV project in Thailand found that Net Present Value (NPV) 32.97 million Baht, Internal Rate of Return (IRR) 13.22%, payback period 8.86 years and B/C ratio was 1.66 which must be implemented in conjunction with other financial support measures such as low interest loans, tax benefits, etc. The several incentives to promote PV in Thailand especially FIT shown as PV projects are to be profitable and incentives to investors.

Solar paint
Canadian researchers have come up with a spray-on paint that can turn any surface into a solar panel. Made from zinc and phosphorus nanoparticles, the spray paint is able to gather energy from the sun. Cheaper than silicone-based cells, this research shows enormous promise for the future.

Actuators
Actuators work by translating the revolutionary motion of a motor into linear movement. Actuators enjoy a long life, and generally do not require maintenance as they have few moving parts. So using actuators is another way in which solar energy is more efficient because it allows freestanding panels to track the sun as it moves across the sky to maximize solar gain.

Large-scale energy storage is gaining traction.
Energy storage
To date, one of the biggest impediments for solar energy is that the sun doesn't always shine. Large-scale energy storage is gaining traction which means that towns and cities can store solar gain during the day for use at night. And some of the ideas for solar storage are pretty innovative!
Compressed air: Using abandoned mine shafts or salt caverns to pump gas into during daylight hours. The compressed air is then released at night which drives turbines and generates energy.
Pumped Hydro: Another way to store energy is to pump water uphill into a large storage reservoir during the day. The water is then released at night to flow downhill where it drives turbines.
Molten Salt: When the grid is producing more energy than it needs, tanks of molten salt are heated to temperatures in excess of 1,000 degrees Fahrenheit. When electricity demand increases, the heat from the molten salt is utilized to create steam which drives turbines and generates energy.

مدیرعامل شرکت برق منطقه ای خوزستان خبر داد
احداث #نیروگاه 10 مگاواتی #خورشیدی #فتوولتاییک در منطقه ملاثانی



مدیرعامل شرکت برق منطقه ای خوزستان گفت: یک نیروگاه 10 مگاواتی خورشیدی فتوولتاییک در منطقه ملاثانی شهر باوی در حال ساخت است که در آینده نزدیک به بهره برداری می رسد.

به نقل از روابط عمومی شرکت برق منطقه ای خوزستان ، محمود دشت بزرگ در بازدید از این پروژه که توسط بخش خصوصی و ازطریق سرمایه گذاری مستقیم خارجی اجرا می شود، گفت: احداث این نیروگاه موجب اشتغال زایی مستقیم و غیر مستقیم 40 نفر از جوانان منطقه می گردد.

وی ادامه داد: حجم سرمایه گذاری این پروژه حدود 12 میلیون پوند معادل 590 میلیارد ریال می باشد که توسط بخش خصوصی با مشارکت شرکت بریتیش سولار انگلیس در این منطقه در حال احداث می باشد

دشت بزرگ تصریح کرد: این سرمایه گذار دارای پروانه احداث از سازمان انرژی های تجدیدپذیر و بهره وری برق ایران و مجوز سرمایه گذاری خارجی از وزارت امور اقتصادی و دارایی است و قرار است به مدت 20 سال #برق این نیروگاه به صورت تضمینی توسط وزارت نیروخریداری شود.

وی اظهار داشت : آغاز کار اجرایی این پروژه از آذرماه 94 بوده که با توجه به ورود تجهیزات پیش بینی می شود تا پایان مهر ماه امسال به بهرداری برسد.
