Foundry | Poster Demo
Foundry | Poster Demo

Hi, I am new to Rapidweaver and I bought the Project4. It is a great design but unfortunately it does not display on my iphone and mobile/responsive is a must for me. I have not altered anything in the project and for some reason it is not working on the iphone? Could someone please advise? Thanks.

Hi Gary - I have just downloaded a template and I have all of the suggested stacks (except Joe Workmans Post Office). However when I go to edit some of the demos they appear to have Section stacks in them. The documentation says Section Pro (which I have got) but the stacks on the page have 'template' as the name and upon inspection seem to be Section stacks (but not Section Pro). I am missing something. Apologies if this is a silly question. Jon

This is strange. works fine (all menus show and operate properly) on all browsers running on MacOS, and on Firefox running on Win10, but Chrome on Windows (7 or 10) doesn’t show the top menu or side menu, and IE11 doesn’t show the top menu, but does show the side menu. I’m using Foundation, Big White Duck, and Paddy stacks, so nothing particularly weird. Ideas?

Overview of latest Template 3 at

Hi chaps, i am currently using the UiKit theme for my current project, Lucas the developer has a Stack called Panel, i am very pleased with the help he has given me to give me a nice Intro Page. i am well chuffed with it, shame about the rest of it :-)
the Intro page can scroll down simply by clicking on it, is there BWD or Foundation stack that can do that ?

Hi chaps, i see your two Templates so far are both Single Page designs, are future templates going to be for multi pages ?

I have created a 3 part set of videos on the advantages of warehousing images in RapidWeaver, how to creat SVG images and also how to live edit SVG using a text editor.  I Hhpe this is useful to anyone not familiar with warehousing, SVG, creating SVGs using Autodesk Graphic and loading to a server using an FTP program.

Warehousing images in RapidWeaver & SVGs Part 1 of 3
Warehousing images in RapidWeaver & SVGs Part 2 of 3
Warehousing images in RapidWeaver & SVGs Part 3 of 3

Just been doing a few other videos for a significant new release to be announced very soon.

In response to a question about images.

The images created throughout Project1 were created using Autodesk's Graphic for Mac and iPad. This used to be known as iDraw but has come of age since the buy out. I haven't found a better program to create SVG' so quickly and it also creates the cleanest SVG code there is. By comparison, Adobe Illustrator SVG code is a mess and is useless for small text. Graphic SVG code is razor sharp and the files are smaller too. Affinity does not set the size correctly in SVG's. I haven't gone near Illustrator or Affinity Designer since getting Graphic. The iPad App was used to create the random backgrounds using a pen. Again, Illustrator just can't compete.

I will be doing a few videos shortly on using Graphic to create web images and also on how to live edit warehoused SVG's. Lots to come.

Navigation appearance and setting the correct breakpoints

I have had a couple of questions about the MagicGellan navigation in Demos 2 & 3.

Out of the box, the MagicGellan is set to hide on the first landing page and then hide below 640px which is the mobile setting.  The value of 640 can be reduced to set the point (BP) at which the Magicgellan hides and is set in the MagicGellan Menu Bar section - "Full Menu at".  By trial and error adjust this down to the point at which the MagicGellan contents collide.  Note that the more menus items and the wider each menu item is, that the point at which they collide will occur at a wider width..  This is exactly the same for all Topbar style navigations.

You only have so much space and when it gets crowded because the screen width has become too small, you need to hide the menu.

Also, the MagicGellan and MagicZone are inside a Visibility stack and the Visibility can also be used to hide the navigation.  Sometimes it is easier and quicker to put all of the Nav menus into one Visibility stack.  So if you are adjusting the breakpoint, also remove the MG and MZ from the Visibility stack.

The MagicDots are also hidden below Desktop and this can also be adjusted in the MD stack or by putting the MD stack into a Visibility stack.

The Visibility stack can be confusing to understand, but remember that if you set the Visibility stack to Hide at a custom BP of 500, then the contents will be visible up to 500 but at 500 and greater, the contents will be hidden.  If you are new to the Visibility stack this is a great stack to understand and it gets a great deal of use.
