Working up some posts that exemplify the game mechanics.

Hope you enjoy them. As always doubts and feedback are greatly appreciated.

The Red & Blue dice mechanics are the core of the games I'm developing now. Take at the principle behind it and a look at some of its features.

Saints & Sinners handles range as two elements. The mechanical effectiveness of the weapon (ammo, barrel length, machining and quality) and the visual effectiveness of the shooter's eye (naked eye, fog, scopes, IR, etc).

New year's resolution. Get a Saints and Sinners campaign running. Join in to save mankind's greatest artwork in history's most epic treasure hunt!
"What if I told you there was a group of heroes you've never heard of? What if I told you there was a group of men on the front lines who quite literally saved the world as we know it; a group that didn't carry machine guns or drive tanks, who weren't official statesmen; who who not only had the vision to understand the grave threat to the greatest cultural and artistic achievements of civilization, but then joined the front lines to do something about it?"

Join me in the greatest treasure hunt ever. Explore Paris' underground; race over the French countryside; go behind German lines to retrieve mankind's finest treasures. Be the heroes that brought our civilization from the brink of extinction.

I'm looking to start a campaign that will be played once or twice a month. This is not the final date, I'm setting a date so G+ will setup the event. I'm open to hear your preferred weekdays to play starting between 7 and 9 PM US Central and running for 2 to 3 hours each session.

Game Length: 2-3 hours
Players Needed: 4-6
Theme: WW2 treasure hunt - Indiana Jones style adventure
System: Saints & Sinners, Modern Warfare RPG

Got myself a new book. Will be using it to add more weapons and their associated conflicts throughout the 20th Century: WW1, Indochina war, WWII, Korea, Latin America, Afghanistan (the one with the Russians), Africa, Yugoslavia and plenty more.

There's a new revised and updated version of Saints & Sinners. You can get your copy here:

http://rpg.drivethrustuff.com/product/130897/Saints--Sinners

This version contains a lot of layout improvement. Rules are broken into basic, advanced and pro, so you can get started quickly and add more detail to your game later on.

There are a lot of improvements on the combat rules, particularly close quarter combat. It also includes more examples to show the rules in action.

The game is opening up from a coldwar era to the whole 20th century. The upcoming editions will include more weapons and settings spanning from WWI to modern days, as well as more hand to hand combat techniques.

Thanks for being part of this community and helping the game grow.

Enjoy!

Here's some feedback on using rifles at short range. I'm particularly interested in mechanics involving short ranges because it's the range most things happen in action thriller movies. What's the value of aim in such cases and how does this interplay with initiative and actions taking place all around the character.
