You are young and you would like to visit a new country? Then you may consider being an au pair. An au pair is a young person from a foreign country that takes care of the host's family children, and they also receive some monetary allowance for their services.

Sounds good right?

Have you established the things that your au pair must do besides taking care of your children? Have a discussion with your au pair and let him know all the things that should and shouldn't be done around the house.

Do you want to be a good au pair? Then make sure you've checked the points from this quick list bellow:
1. Be a friendly person - Being a friendly person in a new country will help you make friends easier.
2. Keep yourself organized - In your busy days, make yourself a list that covers all that you need to do.
3. Do some baby sitting - You will have to take care of the kids a lot, so knowing how to do that is important.
4. Show interest in playing with children and have patience with them
5. Learn the language of the country that you'll be an au pair in, it will really help you.
6. Learn to drive - You might be asked from time to time to pick the kids from school.
7. Develop yourself some good habits - I'm sure you already have them, but developing some habits that are in conformity with the host's family rules will help you.
