To me, Ralph McQuarrie will always be the artist of Star Wars. His unique style and the amazing atmosphere he manages to invoke in his paintings captured the world of Star Wars before Star Wars was even released. In fact, much of his concept art is being used in Star Wars today.

Folks, I need a hand with the next scenario idea.

I have this smuggler crew in the Imperial Era,on a somewhat backward world in the Hutt sphere of influence. And I need an adventure for them - rather a short one - that doesn't require them to use their starship (since tre crew's pilot player is going to skip the session for RL reasons).

So, we have a pretty competent tech, a flamboyant con artist, a brainy copilot and a tough-as-nail gunslinger (who's nominally the crew's captain). Their talented pilot is skipping.

No local connections so far, no-one on their tail so far, though they are thirsty for credits (they have loan on the ship to pay).

Ideas?

I mean, I have a longer story intended for them, but the initial adventure is going to require some slick piloting, so I'm intending to postpone it till I have the pilot back.

I have been working on a series of Calvin & Hobbes-style "Polaroid-style" strips for a friend's birthday.

Thought the folks here may enjoy them too. :)

Hey friends! I have a question for the hive mind, if you have the time.

I'm working on my Star Wars rules, just something I plunk away at for my own fun and relaxation. When it comes to NPCs I'm building the rules to support three categories: tough NPCs that can stand their own in a fight and are very powerful, middle-ground NPCs that are slightly less powerful than PCs of equal level, and low-powered NPCs that can be fought in large numbers to let the story feel like Star Wars.

Currently I call them Villains, Acolytes, and Minions. That works for evil NPCs, but I don't think it fits for monsters which should feel neutral, and it certainly doesn't work for allied hero NPCs. I'd like to rename each category so that it works for good, neutral, and evil. Maybe my brain is cooked in this heat, but I can't think of a damn thing.

I'd be grateful for some suggestions.

I statted up Princess Leia as a starting character for SW FFG, a few years before she became the hero of the Rebellion we all know.
