Old Brick Kilns Caravan and Camping Park North Norfolk

Ou September adventure in Foxy the VW Campervan, was to Norfolk. Neither my wife or I were particularly familiar with the area, I turned to my trusty Best of British Campsite Guide to find a place to stay. Old Brick Kilns is a lovely, secluded 5* campsite about 6 miles east of Fakenham. First of all, some points to take note of! I am very glad we had a sat nav as it is not the easiest places to find. Also, there's a very narrow lane to get onto the site. Because of this, they don't accept early arrivals and departures are strictly before 11.30am.

There are 60 pitches and each one is spacious and well maintained. There's a number of grass pitches and hard standings, some fully serviced, with all the modern hook-up facilities.

If you are a member of the Caravan Club you can have access to Heydon’s Meadow. This is a super luxury site, with very large, hedged pitches, luxury bathrooms and all the hookup facilities you will ever need.

Facilities & Contact Info

There's a number of modern washrooms with very good showers and facilities. There is also a fishing lake in the middle of the site as well as an outdoor chess board and enclosed children’s play area. The reception has a well-stocked shop, which offers delicious warm croissants every morning. A small summer house next to the reception houses a local information center.

There is an onsite bar/restaurant called Barney’s. The menu looked very nice (although a little pricey). Unfortunately, it was not open when we visited so I can’t comment on the food quality.
