To my friends, former colleagues, and members of MEC and MEC+, alike-

Almost exactly a year ago, dissatisfied and fairly brave revolutionaries from MEC broke away from the mother community and came here to form a free and fair political simulation, and named it MEC+. At that time, they had been suffering under the heavy hand of Japheth Hilton, who abused his power and used it to oppress the members of the community... Going so far as to refuse to allow the inauguration of the next president.

MEC+ was fair to all, and free for all. Everyone had equal opportunities, there was no cheating or fraud, and for a while there, people were happy. A fair deal of that was due to the fact that a lot of the things that took place as a part of the government occured on Hangouts, instead of being purely centered on Google+.

Well, MEC+ died. Everyone left, and returned to MEC, under the control now of Ethan Kelly, who was one of the original people to break away in the first place. But raw unadulterated power does not suit him. Everyone was blind to it before, going so far as to publicly support and defend his outright corruption and abuses of power before he even became the sole owner.

It's my greatest regret that I myself defended and supported him through it all. I messed up. I always trust the wrong people, from Jess Bullard, to Cruxana, to Ethan Kelly. I accept full responsibility for what has happened. That's why I've come back - to correct my wrongs.

Putting the community in the hands of Ethan Kelly was a big mistake. It has suffered under his control. He is a brash, conceited, cheating, bullying, corrupt, and immature person. He has rigged elections in his favor, changed parties to deliberately force someone out of an election, and constantly changes the rules to favor himself- in fact, there aren't exactly rules. There's only what will favor him and go his way, and what won't. And only the former will be accepted.

Some people are happy in MEC, and to them, I say stay and be happy. But to the many who aren't, I call to you. You need not suffer under Ethan any longer. MEC+ will become a haven for those who wish to experience the best of politics, free of tyranny. MEC+ will become what MEC was always supposed to be. Under myself and my mods, who are from the newest generation of mock politicians (and have suffered under Ethan most), MEC+ will become greater than ever and accept the load of everyone who wishes to be free of Ethan.

Yes- MEC+ is back. Elections will be held, a government will be rebuilt, and for once, everyone can finally have fun again and have a positive experience. Well, the politics may not always be positive, but I can assure you that the administration of the community will be.

I ask you all to come back to MEC+. Join us once again. The community needs you, everyone needs you. I need you. This is our community, and we make it great, despite everything people have done in the past to knock it down.

Come back, and we'll show Ethan what fairness and democracy looks like, and that cowardice and tyranny never wins.

Welcome home to MEC+.
