First Gallery Walk of the year.
Students are sharing their Mn mind maps. Introducing themselves, sharing 3 cities that are important to them. Great way to learn to share and meaningful question/answer techniques with peers.

After a FANTASTIC unit on Respect and Bullying we finished up with revisiting our first lesson. Take a look at the pledges Voyager students made to work against bullying.  We worked hard on understanding what were "doable' things and how those small behavior choices can improve the school climate.  We invite you to pledge too!

I wanted my students to get to know iMovie a little better so I assigned a very simple homework assignment. I asked them to "make a 1 minute movie that depicts a real-life bullying situation." Here's a great example of what they came up with! In class, we watched the videos and discuss how to resolve these situations. (Note: the biker totally just blew through that stop sign!)

+Natalie Weatherman and I created this bulletin board in the media center. If students have issues with their iPad, this is one place to go to get help! The QR codes on it lead to screencasts on YouTube that show students how to solve their own issues.

Today my students used phrase.it, a website that allows you to add comic speech bubbles to photos, and then we added them to a padlet.com online bulletin board. Here is the start of one of their padlet pages. LOTS OF FUN!
