Haunting, distinctive and technically brilliant. At 59 Mr Numan is showing the way for all the young "so called" pop stars with their mindless anodine dross.

Thing I notice about country music is the language its sung in doesn't matter , all about the same things.

I drove my tractor through your haystack last night
(ooh aah ooh aah)
I threw me pitchfork at your dog to keep quiet
(ooh aah ooh aah)
Now something's telling me
That you'm avoiding me
Come on now darling you've got something I need

I've just discovered in the back of a cupboard a copy, 100% untouched, still plastic shrinkwrap-sealed, of "Nik Kershaw's 1984 "Human Racing" album. (Don't even ask!!)
I wonder if this has any value?!

This is the second CD that I loaded onto my phone.
Again, this is a most uplifting compilation, in this case of Italian opera. The music, I find, is simply sublime and uplifting. How the human voice can be trained to make such beautiful sounds is amazing. I can barely hold a simple tune.

If you get a chance do give it a listen, even if you don't consider yourself a fan of opera. I think you will enjoy it.
