Hello, as an art history teacher I wan to share my humble teaching activities with you. "Learning by sharing"
My best you all
Manel

AHTR will be on a short break throughout July, so we've decided to postpone the hangout originally scheduled for tomorrow.  Parme Giuntini's post on her experience "hacking" MOOCs will be up early in the fall, so we'll reschedule the on-line discussion to follow.

Check out the upcoming post on the website for some upcoming plans and ways you can contribute to AHTR in the fall.  Thanks for your interest and support of the site.   Enjoy your summer!

Thanks to everyone who participated in today's hangout!  Here are some of the resources and tools that were mentioned as useful for organizing course materials, developing chronological structures, and as a platform for thematic student projects.  Feel free to post others!

Tomorrow's our first official AHTR Hangout---Hope to see you at 3pm on Tuesday!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by during yesterday's How to Hangout workshop!   After about 30 minutes of techy glitches, we had a great discussion about teaching!  Please let us know if you tried to participate but were unable to join the hangout.  We're happy to help troubleshoot!

The biggest issues were with internet connectivity and audio/sound problems.  These were best solved by experimenting with different microphones, moving the computer, or leaving and then rejoining the hangout in progress.  Another issue was difficulty downloading/installing the Google+ plug-in--especially when using a school computer where you might not have administrative rights to install new software.

Join colleagues to talk about teaching thematically in our first AHTR Hangout!  The discussion will be live on-line for about 1 hour--drop in for a while or stay the whole time.  We look forward to seeing you there!
Hangout with colleagues interested in thematic approaches to teaching art history.  Come with questions, ideas, and concerns about adopting a thematic structure, and hear from others who have experimented with thematic courses.

Excited about the upcoming AHTR Hangout series, but not quite sure what to do?  Join us on Friday at noon for a "How to Hangout" workshop to become more familiar and work out any kinks in the technology!

Will you be able to archive your hangouts?
