#Oil prices were crashing Thursday (Aug 24) as Gulf Coast refineries that process more than 5 million barrels of oil per day brace themselves for Hurricane Harvey. #WestTexasIntermediate crude futures were down 81 cents, to $47.60 a barrel, while Brent crude futures fell 41 cents, to $52.07 a barrel. WTI settled Thursday's trading session on the New York Mercantile Exchange down 91 cents, or 2.1%, at $47.43 a barrel.

Gulf of Mexico federal offshore oil production accounts for 17% of total U.S. crude oil production and federal offshore natural gas production in the Gulf accounts for 5% of total U.S. dry gas production. But more than 45% of total U.S. petroleum refining capacity is located along the Gulf coast, as well as 51% of total U.S. natural gas processing plant capacity.

#Oil was steady on Thursday (Aug 24), holding gains from the previous session after another fall in U.S. #crude inventories indicated a tighter market, and as a tropical storm was heading for oil producing facilities in the Gulf of Mexico.

#Brent #crudefutures, the international benchmark for oil prices, were at $52.58 per barrel, up 1 cent from their last close. U.S. #WestTexasIntermediate crude futures were at $48.37 a barrel, down 4 cents. Both crude futures contracts rose more than 1% on Wednesday, also buoyed by potential output disruptions from the Gulf of Mexico storm.

The Key to Purchasing Quality Equipment

Quality equipment is an investment for every oil field company. No matter how expensive it may seem, the price is always worth it when the equipment operates smoothly and is durable. Investing in heavy equipment, however, is a huge step. How can you make sure you are buying the right equipment for your company?

Check the Equipment

Always check the equipment before you make the purchase. Research about the brand and mechanism to know about it better. We recommend you visit the supplier to see the equipment if possible and challenge the agent with a lot of questions based on your research.

Check the Supplier or Seller

You can always know if the supplier is credible based on certificates and testimonials. Look into the feedback of previous buyers if they are satisfied with the purchase.

#FLNGMarket size for #2016 was valued over USD 10 billion and is set to exceed 300 MTPA by #2024.

Growing demand for clean fuel coupled with increasing focus towards energy mix will drive the global FLNG market size. Rapid fossil fuel depletion along with growing measures to reduce carbon emissions will stimulate the industry growth. According to the International Energy Agency, global natural gas demand increased by 1.4% in 2015 from 2014. Ability to accelerate the procurement of natural gas will make product adoption favorable. +Höegh LNG
