Interesting New York Times article about a theatre larp group in NYC -- there's an upcoming game if anyone's interested: "Mr. Tusk has invited the public (first-time LARPers included) to don their courtliest attire and participate in a run of “The Dance and the Dawn” on Sept. 12 at ARC Stages in Pleasantville. There are 13 roles: six ladies and seven lords. Before the players assemble, they will respond to a questionnaire to facilitate casting, and then be sent information including character and setting descriptions, details of game mechanics and suggestions for costuming (which is optional)."

Just in case you freeform designers are interested!

Hey folks :) just in case you missed it, we also have a community over on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/844088615646972/ -- so far it is much less active/popular, but since we're trying to do a lot of outreach to the general public (who, sadly, haven't yet migrated to G+ en masse) it makes sense to have a presence both places.

Also, a goal of mine is to try organizing one freeform game a month through the group, and we are looking at an August game at the OkCupid offices. I wanted throw out a poll with some of the games we're considering. (Picture unrelated, though if anyone writes a dinosaur [chasing Link and Boromir?] larp yes I will run it.)

Does anyone have connections to NYU? I've heard amazing things about the sub-basements they have, and a game of Sarcophagus down there has been a goal of mine for a while.

Hi everyone, thanks for joining!

So far I'm looking at Saturday, July 11th for our first game, Still Life in Central Park. Still Life is a Golden Cobra winner about rocks having an existential crisis, and one of my favorite games to run. Would any of y'all be interested?

Also, please feel free to invite new members!
