I'm look to buy a camera for around Christmas time at a budget of £300 (may change) and would predominantly like to use it for filming skateboarding and bmx. Of course I would like to be able to take great pictures along side it.I'm looking to focus on buying a body for £300 now and then spending around £200- £300 on a lens nearer my birthday in April. As I will be using it for filming, I would like the best quality resolution and frame rate for £300. 1080p 60fps would be preferable. The budget has room for a slight advance possibly up to about £330. If you could let me know of any recommendations that fit my wishes then please let me know as soon as possible. I do not mind if the camera is second hand as long as it is in a decent condition as I know that for the budget I have, that will be the only option.

Hi Digital Rev
I've been enjoyably watching a few YouTube videos. After having seen about 15 of them I've just realised I haven't seen a single video where the are looking at published images - whether posted on the web, prints or in books.
Given it's all about "taking the image" why not have the following subjects:
1. "Fishing without a hook" or "photography with an SD card/film". This seems to be the logical combination of cameraphilia and narcissism. How can the image really share the experience of taking the photo? If it can't the why bother?
2. Viewing photos. Flickr vs other sites. Printing from digital. Photobooks. Apple vs. Windows. Digital picture frames.
3. More tips on post-shoot image manipulation.
Some balance to the "gear fetish" surely couldn't hurt? Food for thought at least.
Regards
Tim
