Snagit for Google Chrome  -

I am trying to use Snag it app for Chrome with my students for a collaborative music/tech project. We need to capture audio and video. How do I get the app to capture only the internal audio (audio produced by their computer)?

Hi +Sarah Fortino, at this time, Snagit for Google Chrome is only able to capture audio from your device's microphone. The only way to capture the computer audio is to turn the speakers up on the device and record it over the microphone.

Hi - does anyone know if there is a limit to the length a screencast can be using Snagit for Google Chrome?

Please pardon my ignorance ... I'm researching possibilities at the moment and haven't taken the time to RTFM.

Is Snagit for Google Chrome in any way scriptable? I have it mind to use it in a Selenium session and would rather not have to add driving snagit to the list of automated moves.

I love Snagit and would love to see a Linux version (Fedora/RHEL). Any discussion on that possibility?

+Michael Convey Well, Snagit for Google Chrome runs on Linux via the Chrome browser...might be a start? :)

So I am attempting to download a Snagit for Chrome video on to my desktop. The issue is I am only getting audio from the download. Is there something I am doing wrong?

Thanks!

Hi Lee. Did you download the TSC2 Decoder? Also, what program are you trying to use to playback the video?

I've used SnagIt for years now, but it stopped recording video of my screen today.

The toolbar appears when I click on the launch icon, but when I click on the 'screen' button, the bar disappears and I'm not given the option to choose what I record.

One other thing I noticed, it turns on my web cam when I try to record video.

Please advise. Thanks,
Todd

+Kathleen Hanke We did push an update to fix an issue with screen recording last week, so perhaps that might have helped too? Bottom line, glad it's working for you now! :)

I've been reading The One Thing by Keller & Papasan lately.  I realize that streamlining course development is one thing that would make my job easier.  How do you do course development?  If you start with Course Objectives and then create learning outcomes, are there are tools that you use to streamline that process, make it quicker?

Snagit for Google Chrome  -

Are there any plans to add the ability to upload local images into the Snagit for Chrome editor for annotation? There are some types of screenshots that Snagit is not able to to get within ChromeOS, so I need to resort to the CTRL-SHIFT-SHOWALLWINDOWS keystroke and use the built-in screenshot tool. It would be great to be able to upload these local screenshots into Snagit for Chrome so that I can annotate them. Currently, I need to use Awesome Screenshot to do this. Thanks!

Not sure if this has been inquired about prior.  Is there a way to include webcam feed on recordings?  Ideally with audio from the internal microphone.

I haven't figure out naming the screenshot. I thought I had it working by typing in the  name at the top and hitting return. Then I looked in my folder and all of the screenshots were still named untitled. What am I doing wrong?
