Turnitin is a plagiarism protection/detection application. I have used it at NJIT with Moodle. It each one class at Montclair State U and they just officially went over to Canvas this semester (although I used Canvas there last year in the pilot) and they just installed it on Canvas.

Has anyone used it with Canvas?  Any issues or comparisons to using it with other LMS?

Canvas/Instructure Webinar – Creating a Teaching Ecosystem
Date: October 25, 2013
Time: 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM
Education Ecosystems: A view from Rider University
October 25th 12 – 1 Lunch & Learn Webinar

Historically, external tools have been built to operate within a single learning platform–that is, the code used to develop the external tool had to be developed in the same language as the learning platform itself. This created functionality problems as users were not able to access all the best tools to teach or learn the provided content.

Learning Tools Interoperability (LTI) is an emerging standard that makes access to, and integration of, new teaching and learning tools to enhance the teaching and learning experience. The beauty of LTI is that it enables a single tool to be utilized across a variety of different platforms.

In this session, learn how Rider University is using LTI external apps to build personalized course “ecosystems” that are dynamic and interactive, and increase student engagement and student success.
