I am helping a group of teachers prepare for a 1:1 Chromebook program. One of the teachers had been using iPads with her students and asked a great question about text annotation without a touch-screen. I put together a video response to share one idea. I thought this group might get some value out of it as well!

Restrictive Test Mode for Chromebooks

As promised, I've uploaded the article about turning on "testing mode" on Chromebooks.

The setting explained here restricts students from going to any websites and prevents them from using a spell-checker. Work is expected to be saved to a USB flash drive.

Let me know what you think!

I recently won a grant for $3000 worth of chromebooks, but my county in NC is making me return the check, as they don't approve chromebooks. Does anyone else have that problem?
